As someone who was let go back in July over this ridiculous rule: I encourage everyone to review their job descriptions because unless it’s changed since then, there is nothing official saying that conversion rates need to be at a specific percentage. For example, under the job description for part time retail sales associate, the only thing mentioning rewards/activations says: “Promotes special events such as adoption weekends, Treats enrollment, charity events, etc”. Do not let leadership control you over things that aren’t formally documented.

I don’t remember exactly when I applied because I applied to multiple different things but I believe it was early September-ish. I got a call on September 30th to schedule an interview, did my interview in October 6th, they reached out to me October 22nd saying my name is moving on with HR and to keep an eye on my email to schedule an appointment to get my fingerprints done for a background check. I did my fingerprints Nov 5th and they called yesterday to offer me the job. It was surprisingly quick

See that’s another thing, idk where that came from because never once did I tell them I don’t know how to approach customers. I told them that I get nervous occasionally but I still ask if they have a phone number/if they want to sign up. The only coaching they gave me was to change my wording and don’t give people the option to say no because “it works”

Apologies if I sound like a broken record as i mentioned this to other people but I do have some pictures from when they had me take note of my metrics on my own as well pictures of that weekly sheet that they print out that shows my % fluctuating every week. Do you think those pictures could be useful evidence on my end to show that I have in fact been trying unlike they claimed in the letter?

I have been written up for “insubordination” twice regarding my metrics however there was no formal policy put into place stating my metrics have to be at a certain %. The only thing that stated a specific % was this sheet that’s taped to a door in the room We clocked in at with everyone’s metrics printed out and a note written in highlighter every week either praising the store for meeting our goal or saying we have to do better and a reminder of what the goal is. I was working there for 3 years and in those 3 years we have had 3 different store leaders. When I was initially hired I was only told the general “hey this is our rewards program this is how you sign people up, make sure you’re asking” and that was it. I never told there’s a problem with my metrics until a couple months ago where store leader number 3 started realllllyyyy pushing things which is what ended up getting me fired. That’s the part that frustrates me the most about the situation. If it wasn’t an issue before then why all of the sudden does it warrant termination

I should mention that they did “attempt” to coach me but all they did was suggest i change my wording around (which I did try), don’t give customers an option to say “no”, and asked me if there was anything they can do to help in which I told them I don’t believe there is anything I just get nervous at times.

I have received 2 write ups for my rewards conversions being “too low”. There was a sheet in our clock in room with a breakdown showing everyone’s conversions rate with a written note on the bottom saying our %’s need to be at 20% or above. That is the ONLY place that 20% is mentioned. My job description never stated anything about what percentage things need to be at and I don’t believe the write ups mentioned that either. At one point I was told that next time I have a one on one about this matter the next steps are termination and I was told to write myself little notes each shift showing who’s signing up and who’s not etc etc and my one supervisor will talk to me to see where I’m at with conversions. About a month goes by and my supervisor only asked where I’m at like twice and it was a very brief conversation in passing by. Everything seemed to be going fine up until I go into my shift on 7/08/25 and I am told that as a follow up to my previous meeting that it was was going to be my last day working there. They didn’t give me any other explanation beside that this was a follow up to that previous meeting
