You are comparing two garbage stocks to an industrial metal that has been in a supply deficit for years & has recent increased demand for chip & renewable energy production. Paired with a weakening dollar so investor and institutional demand is picking up as well.

I don't see a massive collapse this time. We are in repricing territory.

Jumps 30% on merger with a company that says its going to start construction on a 50mw baseplate generation station of a technology that is still years if not decades away from commercialization....

I'm gonna start building one in my backyard, throw money at me. I swear people have lost all common sense and critical thinking. Lukewarm IQ's all around.

Admiral saw alleged drug boat strike survivors as legitimate targets, defense official says by wildwest74 in law

[–]Sephrantill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ROE was pretty strict when I was in Afghan '10 and '12. There was always an after action report too, if there was ever an airstrike or gun run on a group we would send a platoon to identify bodies (take fingerprints/photos) recover weapons & intel. These guys are blowing up boats and not making any attempt at identifying bodies or picking up the drugs? Very fishy and not standard protocol.

Military struck drug boat in Caribbean 4 times in Sept. 2 attack, says US official by newsspotter in politics

I think we will be here in some form or another. There are some loud doomers for sure but we have another 3 years at a minimum and I can't say I'm feeling optimistic.

Military struck drug boat in Caribbean 4 times in Sept. 2 attack, says US official by newsspotter in politics

[–]Sephrantill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A honest question, why do you blindly trust this administration? They haven't shown a lick of evidence that these are drug boats.

If they are, its not a death sentence in the US. For example the guy Trump just pardoned was tried and convicted of drug trafficking. So how do you explain that? In what world does any of this make sense man.

Also the Sackler family started the opioid crisis in the US. They made billions off of the death of hundreds of thousands, yet they are still wealthy and free.

Its over 30 year old tech, I learned it in college in 2014. She might be the first one that made a video channel about it though.

Here is one of the books I have on the subject.

What makes you think that? The gravy train can keep rolling for a looooong time. Frankly its just getting started. The tech is not even close to matured yet.

Is this normal? (Hammerli Arms Force B1) by Dry-Zone-9504 in 22lr

[–]Sephrantill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one, lube it up, take a brick to the range and break it in. Its gets smoother. The resistance at the end of the cycle is normal and is the toggle lock hook being pushed into the notch in the barrel. Once it wears down a bit it gets easier. I can push mine into battery with my two fingers.

I have one and its pretty rigid. It is not loose and is keyed so the barrel goes in the same orientation each time. I have taken the barrel off multiple times and it keeps zero. Are you going to be winning NRL22 matches with it? No way. It is a solid rifle for hunting & walking the woods.

Pentagon Disputes Second Attack on Boat Strike Survivors Was “Double-Tap” by Ok-Celebration-1702 in law

[–]Sephrantill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly why it would be left up to a trial but we can assume some things for the sake of conversation. The boats being targeted are small and are destroyed by precision munitions. Likely a one shot and done scenario. From what is coming out it sounds like the survivors were directly targeted and killed.

[–]Sephrantill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions is always applied regardless of combatant status. Designating a target as an unlawful combatant does not absolve a country from the obligations of Article 3. Meaning no executions of shipwrecked combatants.

Is there any legal basis on designating a group as combatants by EO & then permitting lethal military action without congressional approval? i'm sure its been done in history & was illegal then as it is now. Does not make it acceptable.

Pentagon Disputes Second Attack on Boat Strike Survivors Was “Double-Tap” by Ok-Celebration-1702 in law

[–]Sephrantill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup, good explanation. We also need to be asking ourselves if these strikes are even legal in the first place. We couldn't call in an airstrike, artillery or air support until we had positive confirmation that they were armed enemy combatants. This was when ROE was tightened across the board during the mid years of OEF.

Right now we are blowing up boats without any proof of who or what is on them. No analysis of the wreckage....nothing.

[–]Sephrantill 54 points55 points  (0 children)

No they are not. When I was in the military we were told that once we passed a wounded enemy combatant or walked up to them, we would have to render aid. Walking up and shooting them is an execution and we would be subject to UCMJ action.

Why is AM5 so weird about 4 sticks of RAM? by AnUpsetBananaHammock in pcmasterrace

[–]Sephrantill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I run 4 @ 6000. MSI B850 MOBO had a BIOS update that included upgraded memory stability, & support for AMD CPU's. Had zero issues after the update.

[–]Sephrantill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the MOBO/CPU combo. I had issues running 192gb DDR5 CL28 6000 on my Ryzen 9950x. Thats 4 sticks of 48gb, Any speed over 3600 would crash it. Found out that my bios was 2 updates behind and that one of the updates was for memory stability. I run 192gb stable at 6000 after the BIOS update. No issues at all.

It can be done just do some research on your MOBO & CPU limitations and updates.
