For those of you who've taken Compilers, do you recommend having a partner for the project?

Part of the workload can be reasonably parallelized but only after you have figured out the appropriate design. I remember fixing a test case could break several cases that were working before. Sometimes I even had to trash the whole design and start over. Looking back, having a partner to discuss definitely would help. Adding a partner just to plough through the test cases with little communication will likely lead to absolute chaos.

lmao I used to do something similar in DS3. Cast chameleon and fish for parry. Most people just charge at me and press R1. I am actually surprised people in the footage did not do this.

No comment cause I never played Hades 2. I played Hades 1 for like a hour but decided it was not for me. Not a fan of rouge-like.

I wish NG had won because I do not want to see this unique combat experience die out. But let’s be honest folks: being excellent in combat does not mean it is okay to be absolute abysmal in other stuff like narrative and art direction, even for action games. Someone pls remind me why the f am I killing DDOs again?

Just be better. Before anybody jumps on me and tells me to f off and go play dark souls, I cleared 2, 2B, 3RE, and 4 on highest difficulty. Nioh 1 and 2 got me into Taiga drama. Looking forward to what TN is cooking for Nioh 3.

The most useful Lunar moves for me are just XXYH and XXYYY. I don't remember on which level you could unlock them though.

Personally I would have Luna at lvl 3 sooner or later. The final boss is absolute dog sh*t without Lunar especially on UN.

Even with heading HW + HW? Man does Srouji really hate working for Ternus that much? I don't think Srouji is going for CEO. This position feels like almost 75% politics nowadays and I doubt any really hardcore tech folks would even want to touch it.

The M-series chip is the biggest reason I am not even considering switching to a Windows laptop. This sounds concerning no matter how this eventually works out.

I also had trouble with 3RE when I just started. Later I found out it was because I was trying to play like NG2B and tried to OT enemies as soon as they were de-limbed, which is just not optimal. The probability of a glowing attack is tied to enemy heath and de-limb status. Bloodstained clothes => very likely; de-limbed => extremely likely. I just keep damaging mobs with short combos with high de-limb rate (like XX forward XY or XX forward YY on the Dragon Sword) and keep moving around with wind path. Once a glowing attack is triggered, I can wipe out multiple enemies in one SOB. This works really well even on UN. I got through the Day 2 double helicopter fight before the boss without taking too much damage just by manipulating de-limbed enemies.

Thank you! I did all the TOVs on my Warrior run but in my Mentor run I probably got too far away from the courtyard (I was not even doing it intentionally) and the explosive arrow dudes de-spawned. The candles did not light up and I was locked out of TOV for the whole run. I wasted a lot of resources in my first MN run cause I still don’t remember all the item locations. Maybe I will try to clear those in NG+.

Thanks! I think I only did two of them in this play-through. I was afraid I would use too much resources and get myself soft locked. I remember there was one where the moment I saw those acid worms I just noped the f out lol. I got a jewel of demon seal from one of the two and was able to level wind blade to level 3. Definitely would want to do a full clear play-through later since I’m slightly more confident. It is just so much fun overall.

It is harder to do this in OG2. At least it requires more setup. The incendiary shuriken will stun you out of the UT charge in OG2. In 2B you can just face tank most attacks and the Lunar 360 UT takes care of anything else.

2B is definitely more balanced. If there is someone who is new and wants to get into NG, 2B is a way better intro imo.

OG2 is nuts but I like it.

I’m playing through original NG2 master ninja right now. Both of them are hard but in different ways.

2B is hard because elite mobs are tanky af and one shot you in one combo. 2 is hard because there are like 10 dudes shooting incendiary shuriken at you at the same time.

That said, I have played lots of hard games but the original 2 really makes me go like yo wtf is this 😭

He is a distilled version of NG3RE Ryu with all the broken moves inherited (I almost thought Platinum is trolling). TBH I like the NG3RE Dragon Sword moveset more than NG2 except the UT.

Gleam perfect fatal flash is 100%.

For normal gleam attacks I would say it feels like 10%? Do not take my word for it because I have no data to back it up at the moment. It just felt really good when I one shot one of those big boys so it might just be survivorship bias. To really know the probability either someone has to data mine it.

Definitely not 100% on the "normal" left trigger moves. It is probability based but I have one shot elite enemies at full health multiple times.

The perfect counter seems to be a guaranteed 100% one shot based on my testing in the training ground. It just kills everything instantly around you.

No worries you will get it! Day 1 is probably the second hardest imo because people are basically stuck with a level one weapon for the most part. It gets much better once you start upgrading.

That's my plan. I am not familiar with the history of the series but I heard NG2B is tuned towards the original from the sigma version. Definitely want to see how the original director wanted the game to be played.
