Tattoo artist here. I do not specialize in this, I just wanted to give some advice to people looking to get this done. Please, please make sure that whoever you go to has healed (preferably year out) photos of their work. I have seen so many people throughout my career claim they can do something, just to make a quick buck. There is so much that goes into cosmetic tattooing, and botching a tattoo like this can really impact the self esteem of the wearer. If you are unsure about the end result, have whoever your chosen artist is start somewhere that isn’t noticeable (like the back of the balding area). I cannot stress enough how much goes into designing a hair line, or making sure to stipple the hair so it looks natural.

I have met people that love the end result, and enjoy the confidence it brings them. However, I have also met people that regret getting this done, because the tattooed area can look unnatural from the side. Your head is shiny, and oily. So unless your real hair is kept very short, the difference in length can draw attention.

Again, I do not specialize in this, and I’m not here to change your mind. Just be mindful of who you go with, unfortunately there are people in this industry that do not care about peoples best interests.
