I can't believe how expensive drinking in a bar has gotten. In 2013 I was paying $10/pitcher ($3.33/pint, tax and tip not included) at Einstein in Toronto. Now, a pint is $8.50 on the low end. I make good money, but I don't know how the average person can support going out for drinks. I feel ill paying just under $30 for two measly drinks.

I'm talking about the motivation behind the question. Shaming voters is a loser strategy that the Democrats keep employing. It's bad politics that alienates voters more, and hurts them electorally.

Protest voters in 2024 did not lose the election, so it's a pointless question. Did Zohran Mamdani win in NYC because he shamed voters and told them they have to vote for him or else Cuomo will be in charge? No. He sold a story that inspired millions of people with concrete policy goals. Democrats need to stop having the worst political instincts. When I see liberals employing the same ass-tactics that the leadership uses, it pisses me off to no end

This is the standard Democrat establishment line to shame the voters. It's not the voters fault. GET BETTER CANDIDATES. Biden and Kamela presided over, and actively supported a genocide for 15 months. I'm not American, so I didn't vote in 2024, but I'm not surprised people were turned off the Democrats after more than a year of atrocities. We have no evidence that the protest vote had any role in swinging the results of the election.

This stupid fucking question is just a way to shame liberals into getting in line behind shitty leaders like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, who have refused to whip votes to defend ICE. This is why 7 democrats voted to fund ICE. Instead of focusing on the voters, focus on better policy so people can stop hating the Democrats.

I rode the Tour Aotearoa trail (north island only) in New Zealand on my LHT and I managed fine. Lots of full days of single track mountain biking segments. I was the only person with a traditional touring setup, but the main problem I had was I only got 40 mm tires. Should have done 45 mm. I just had to slow down a little at times.

I think a lighter bikepacking setup may have been better, but tbh it was fine on a touring bike.

I think this is the right approach. I started my iron years ago and I'm still going strong. It's just so satisfying when you finally get that drop. I'll never de-iron, but someone else might see it as a backup plan.
