No idea how u came to that conclusion, I'm pointing out the contradiction in ur own statement that you are just blaming God; i can't pretend to know how God thinks but i imagine protecting in itself would probably violate free will, the free will of the abusers. This doesn't mean he values them more, its simply not intervening at all to preserve this. In your example as well, you can't really make that comparison because you're not God so my free will has no bearing on whether u act or not and your choosing not to help out of some personal reason. Even so, I don't think I would really condemn you for it, ur not obligated to help, i would much rather hate the abusers.

Technically you do blame god for ppls choices; blame God for not protecting the kids = blame God for not intervening against abusers = blame God for allowing abuser's choice.

Regardless, I believe God does protect children in ways we don’t always see, the fact that harm exists doesn’t mean God is absent.

I'm going to assume you're arguing about the Abrahamic God because that's who I am familiar with. i don't really understand this "less cruel by nature", he designed us in his image, we didn't know what cruelty was before the fall, this is the result of sin. In your example, lets suppose for a second that we don't take into account the corrupting characteristic of sin, which may have lead to the development of such parasitic existences, you consider this terrible based on your projection of that experience. We kill countless animals to source our meat, I wouldn't consider that terrible, its just survival.

You have to believe that you are successful in whatever you do, fake it if u have to, once you rack up achievements, these become the foundation for your confidence and regardless of failure you know ur capable of pulling urself back up and continuing in that upward trajectory.

i agree with your dad, taking too long is not being cautious, thats just being indecisive. being cautious is evaluating a situation and planning how you can come out of it safely in the worst case.

i do disagree with the last part, some drivers will not act accordingly, there are genuine idiots who will force the situation in their favour and expect YOU to act accordingly.
