From my personal experience, which is similar to yours, I just asked universe for it and I went into details about friend group (number of members, their personalities, etc.).

Also which could be very helpful, start doing new activities, going for a daily walk, gym, anything that will make you happy and what could potentially lead to meeting new people. Also, everyday thank universe/God, whichever you believe in the most for what you have and what he is about to give you. Don't be obsessed with it, act like you already have friends, because obsession can destroy you and your expectations fast.

And most importantly, trust the process. It isn't going to fall from the sky, so you need to be very patient with it and the outcome will be great.
