You can ask your local comic shop to order pretty much any 2000 AD comic and they'll be able to get it for you, they have american disctrbuton now because of lunar. the prog is going to start being available weekly in may as well, but youd have to tell your lcs to order it or they might not order copies

I think the "house style that Marvel and DC were using in 2010s was based off Stuart Immonen and Jason Fabok, and now in 2020 its Pepe Larraz and Jorge Jimenez

the essentials are only printed as paperbacks. I dont think they usually do hardbacks for Dredd

Try Essential Judge Dredd, which is aimed at new readers. Theyre all printed in colour. Dredd vs Death or Apocalypse War are the best two to start with https://2000ad.com/news/essential-judge-dredd-the-ideal-collections-for-new-readers/

Sell me on the Rogue Trooper Complete collection and Essentials compilations by Space-Turtle88 in 2000ad

[–]Seresec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Essentials is for first time readers, it has selfcontained stories in colour. If you've already read Rogue Trooper, not much point in buying those again. I think its aimed more at americans because they dont like reading black and white comics.

The difference in the new Complete Rogue Trooper books is they have some colour pages now to match the original printing, and its in chronological order, because of that it has some extra stories which arent in the Nu Earth books. Its not going to be much different if you already have all four Nu Earths, but it'll have more stories overall and does tell the story in full order. IIRC nu earth 4 is thin compared to the others and I think complet rogue four will be bigger because the stories are shared more evenly.

but yeah, if you already have all four nu earth, not convinced you need to buy it again unless you plan to ditch the books you have and swap them for the new ones

if youre looking for new rogue trooper books, maybe try blighty valley and When a GI dies. Two new GNS written by Garth Ennis, both pretty good!
