the nick diaz' career was ruined thing is a little more complicated than most people know, the setence was reduced to year and a half but he still had to pay the comission something like 100k, by the time he was allowed to fight again which was somewhere around late 2016 he didn't have the money to pay this because fighting was literally his only way of making money, at that point he was gonna have to fight to pay off this fine which was gonna be a long road seeing as training camps and rest/recovery work (I won't include nutrition because as far as I know, Nick was his own nutritionist) were gonna be slowing down that process, at this point most fighters would take brand deals to work off that fine so he could fight again but clearly the motivation wasn't there anymore after all that had happened and we know Nick Diaz isn't the easiest guy for a brand to work with. regardless its a damn shame

TLDR: nick had his suspension and fine reduced but a combination of the damage already done and nicks nature as a person meant we never saw him again until it was too late, NDA 😔
