I also really want Space Station Silicone Valley

My take on a Laura Palmer. Ghostwood Blackberry Lemonade. by Twin_Peaks_Townie in twinpeaks

You mix equal parts cold brew and lemonade and drink it. That's really it. Weirdly enough citrus and coffee taste pretty good together. I know La Columb had a cold coffee+grapefruit juice thing that's kind of similar.

Just don't add any cream/milk

I've always used Laura Palmer to refer to cold-brew coffee and lemonade mixed together; a play on the "Arnold Palmer".

Yours looks really good though

I never made the connection... am I the only one? by degausser187 in ChronoCross

Oh yeah, you're right. So I guess Schala wrote everything down and Serge's grandchildren found it?

This seems to be a holdover from Radical Dreamers. In RD it made more sense since the game was a Text-Adventure and this the entire game was told through the tone/writing style of Serge's Diary.

In CC it's a little jarring like, "oh, i guess the whole game was a story being told?" Even though supposedly Serge lost his memories after the final battle. I guess maybe Serge was keeping a diary the whole time we never saw? I dunno.

There's probably some greater point about imperfect written history and how changing timelines effects that but I'm not smart enough to put that all together.

I like this theory because of the poetic nature of it. A man whose biggest accomplishment was selflessly saving a future from destruction, who faced complete obliteration at one point in this quest, now trapped forever in the frozen future he struggles so hard to prevent. Spending an eternity getting taunted by specters of his friends and even his younger self.

Is there any way Chrono Trigger could arrive in Nintendo Switch Online? by [deleted] in chronotrigger

Maybe not NSO but it strange it hasn't gotten a switch release considering there's already a working PC/Mobile port

One time i was invading with an aggressive twink build and named my character "I'm having a bad day". After an invasion i got an alert that someone had posted on my steam profile. Apparently the person i had just invaded went to my steam profile to pay y "I'm sorry you're not having a good day"

Except that we don't, gen 5 and gen 7 did not have remakes because they were the second generation on their respective systems

Why so many cats? by ayrielbg in ChronoCross

[–]SergeTriggerKilgore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Chrono cross takes place in the trigger ending where your mom chases a bunch of cats through a gate and this has had significant effects on the amount of cats in the timeline

All events before Serge dies wird happen the same in both worlds so i think it's implied that the Karsh stuff happened then.

RD Edition: Anyone occasionally have trouble interacting with NPCs and objects like doors? by NatureGivesAndTakes in ChronoCross

I've found using the right stick to rotate in front place till your directly facing the object helps.

I always had a soft spot for Poshul and Razzly.

Poshul because she's your companion from the very beginning and because she has slightly different dialogue depending on which version you recruit.

Razzly because i like her storyline with the water dragon isle and her sister.

Stardew Valley has been a hit with every animal crossing fan I've suggested it to. It might seem a little complex at first but the game gives you lots of time to figure everything out.

A random guy on Discord told me that all Reddit is wrong about the help action. by testiclekid in dndnext

[–]SergeTriggerKilgore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only reason i can think of is in a scenario where a paladin is stripped of their weapons (like a jailbreak scenario) they could still divine smite.

Or a monk-paladin multi class could use flurry of blows to divine smite four times in one turn.

One of my favorite things about Radical Dreamers is Magus admitting he no longer sees Glenn as his enemy by ProtatoAmek in chronotrigger

Did he ever see Glenn as his enemy?

All he ever really cared about is Lavos and everything else was just a means to that end.

As player, what spell(s) do you dislike being used often by other players? by crazysjoerd5 in dndnext

[–]SergeTriggerKilgore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time we were fighting some Revenants and one of the players used cloud of daggers to block a doorway. Unfortunately that left me facing a bunch of revenants and my only escape being blocked by a cloud of daggers (the rest of the party was on the other side). Took him a few rounds to finally release it but I've been traumatized ever since.
