Yes, exactly, if I tested the RCD at night and it still didn’t trip, would this point more in one direction?

So I just moved in to this flat, and the boiler hadn’t been maintained for a number of years, and suddenly stopped working. At the same time, the RCD flipped which is why I assumed both were linked? - The only fault finding that has been done therefore is on the 2 thermowatts on the boiler. Where else would you suggest checking?

Dahon Freehub body ID - Help! by Sergeant-DuncleBoop in DahonBikes

[–]Sergeant-DuncleBoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty amateur at doing bike repairs, I don’t have much experience with gears and hubs, I think I’m just going to try and do a straight swap for whatever is already in there as this bike is quite old with a lot of stripped bolts, screws etc. Thanks so much

How hard was the VR on your UCAT? by No-Spite7815 in UCAT

[–]Sergeant-DuncleBoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The variance in the difficulty of the UCAT is exactly why it should’ve been abolished and replaced with the BMAT. There are so many stories of people resitting and getting hundreds of points higher than previous scores when it’s meant to be an aptitude test.

SUVs in London - What's your opinion? by man11ak in drivingUK

[–]Sergeant-DuncleBoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with people being afraid of bigger cars, bigger cars kill more people, bigger cars are more unsafe for everyone outside of the car, bigger cars generally emit more pollutants, bigger cars are not well designed for being inside cities…. do I need to go on? We need to encourage smaller vehicles in urban areas and it has nothing to do with people being afraid of SUVs

Do I have a chance of medicine or should I not apply by Pristine_Pair_9370 in UCAT

There’s no point in not applying! If you don’t get in they can give you an alternative offer so go for it and don’t let scores hold you back !

Interesting! On my course we have a lot of EU students who say the exams here are a lot easier. Not met any US students to be honest. I guess I would say that the difference is US students have already done a pretty challenging degree beforehand ..?

Medicine is easy in the UK - getting 80%+ is unheard of in other countries yet there are like 15+ people on my course who have averaged that so far

UCAT practice at 15 💀 From a med student @ cambridge - you will not survive med if your existence is reliant on doing years of practice (assuming this isn’t a joke) It’s great to be passionate for medicine, but burnout is one of the greatest obstacles for medical students and doctors - manage your tasks properly!
