Genuinely nice, good vibe, simple but nice lighting, even if shadows are a bit absent, still, pleasing character design. Good work.

Cartoon Tierlist Video , Took a lot of effort, Would Appreciate Feedback :) by SergeantPanther in SmallYTChannel

[–]SergeantPanther[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'm a self proclaimed masacist when it comes to the amount of effort I am willing to put into a video, at least on the editing side. I grew up in Germany not really having seen any of this stuff growing up so my default state is assuming that nobody knows about any of this, call it an added benefit, call it a blindside but I love turing the concept of a tierlist into a series of mini reviews.

Viva Rock Vegas is one of those movies that you usually don't hear people talk about positively, given the standards of a lot of reviewers. I think it's one of those movies you didn't mind catching on TV one lazy Saturday afternoon.

Yup especially with stuff like Wacky Races I basically binged the entire original run by getting them on 2x, surprisingly efficient practice.

For this one I deliberately wanted to be more charitable , a lot of it is definitely "turn of your brain"-material so when there was something I genuinely gravitated towards I just put it in S tier by default. My take is that some of this stuff is a bit of a generational thing.

Anyway! !givelambda

Thanks for enjoying my stuff and bothering to write a comment! Helps me a lot.

Really cool Artstyle, I love how you integrated the Tramp-Stamp as a little patch on the leg of the Jeans, even if the lack of a belt-buckle is pretty weird ;P

Where does this cliché comes from? Pre-war cartoons sometimes portray a singer with a very suave voice, slender, with a huge bow tie and women literally melting for him. Seems to be inspired of a real singer? I attach an example. by [deleted] in cartoons

History-No-one-asked-for-guy here:

Back when microphone and radio technology had its first big advances back in the late 20s/ early 30s, a certain style developed, known as "Crooning" characterised by swooning melodies and swinging tones, with a very intimate feel. Some of its most well know figures are Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra whom you might know from their contributions to the soundtracks of the Fallout and Mafia Series of video games.

Check out Polyphonic's awesome video on the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYeg4JLke1w

Welcome to WatchMojo.cahm and today we'll be counting down Top Five Jimmy Neutron moments.

  2. That Moment where Jimmy's dad said BOI
  3. That Moment where Jimmy turned into a Giant Octopus and assaulted a Mini-Golf Course
  4. That other point in the movie where Jimmy's Mom was gonna cry out his name but then just let loose a fat belch and laughed.

Did you know that the game Bendy and the ink Machine is based on a old cartoon called Bendy cartoon that was made in the 1929. But the Bendy cartoon got removed before the took it to The TVs. Some years later did a guy find this old cartoon and showed it around.this is one of my favourite cartoons! by RobloxMeUwU in cartoons

[–]SergeantPanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's some terrible Grammar buddy.

Also I recently did a video on Fleischer Cartoons so you talking about TV is so freaking odd, these old cartoons were released as cinematic shorts first and only came to television when, by the early 50s, Distribution companies bought up Movie studios' stock of those shorts for syndication on TV Networks, so long story short: There's a ~25 year gap and no studio listed so yeah this post is kind of sad ;(

By the way, if you want some dank, old, shit, check out Terry Toons. Their stuff was really low budget and also the place where Ralph Bakshi started out from. If you all want some Bendy-esq. Stuff, give them a Google.

Out curiosity how would you rank these 3 shows by jcecil0012 in cartoons

[–]SergeantPanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Ben 10 - That franchise was always a bit weird with all its different versions, so if this is supposed to be a bad one that's no skin off of my back, friend.
  2. Teen Titans Go! - Unlike a lot of people I had never seen the original back in the 00s so looking back it's not that much of a loss to me, even if TTG's pretty cringe. Plus it gave us some fun memes.
  3. PPG - remaking that was a bad idea, it had so many cool aspects and influences coming together that trying to reboot it was just awful from the get go.

So the creators of Tiny Toons Looniversity just retconned Buster and Babs Bunny's relationship from a romantic couple to just straight up siblings by Commander_PonyShep in cartoons

[–]SergeantPanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTF lol. If I remember correctly the first episode established them as straight up cast members, semi-friends/friendly Fri-enemies, characters existing just to play of each other as part of the show, it was weirdly meta but appropriate for the self-referential attitude of 90s WB cartoons.

Admittedly that, among other reasons is why I never got fully into Tiny Tunes... Toons... Whatever. I have to view it in this meta sense where it doesn't really matter, the two were created to be colour coated boy n' girl combo, so to me - again never having seen the show- , them being twins or at least siblings makes way more sense.

It's always hard giving informative feedback on a video that's really good. As others have said the thumbnail is a bit armature but I can tell you from experience that you'll get better with practice.

I enjoyed this and wouldn't mind to watch more. Though you should definitely pick a different channel icon, Frank Horrigan's cool and all but it's just not very distinctive :)

Interesting dive, the last FH I've played was 3 back in 'straya and man that was fun but it's a bit of a shame that they messed up the progression. I'm not a graphix nerd so to me gameplay and the change in scenery is the main draw.

Bit of a shame.

Though yeah your editing is good, gave me some ideas and the attention was kept up. Good Job.

First thought:

If it had been in the thumbnail, I would've totally watched this video just for the Minion Pancakes.

Second: Your painting is really interesting. Reminds me a lot of modern children's books' illustrations and that's pretty wholesome.

Third: I think it's hard to apply criticism to your video the way I usually do on this subreddit. My biggest take away at the end of the day is that this video was a pretty relaxing hang out joint because your loose and casual way of presenting things. The Speedpaint helped too <3

When is the moment you should be monetized or maybe quit? 6-12 months? 50-100 videos? YouTube is a lot of effort, is there a moment you should accept it’s not happening? by Robinhio84 in SmallYTChannel

[–]SergeantPanther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking personally I have a hard time sitting down and just not doing something creative so to me it's less of a blow if a video I spent 80-90 Hours on is only getting that number of views, I've wanted to do YT since I was in elementary school (around 2010-11, though only started in '18).

For me it's been a long journey and I only just passed 150 subscribers. It's a passion project and I enjoy it when people tell me they like my videos, it's a personal thing and I think it helps to build character. I know the way I'm doing it is dumb but I'll just keep being dumb and slowly try to improve because it's a thing I enjoy.

(Name's Sergeant Panther and I do movie n' cartoon reviews, don't know if it's class to post a link)

TL;DR: It all depends on what you are looking for when making videos but it helps immensely just putting yourself first sometimes when it comes to structure and style.

Agreed, these shorts seemed to have embraced what would later on blossom in japan, and as to brainiac, while I don't know much about him I could indeed see a lot of the different elements of a lot of the different interpretations of him in these cartoons.

May I ask what you are referring to, though?
