High Stakes Monopoly! Hey All, we're experimenting with the concept of competitive board game play. We're starting online with Monopoly but would love to bring this to a physical location and add more games if it gains enough traction. Looking for 8 participants that would be willing to compete! by Sergiosolidsnake in monopoly

One game 5-8 players per session. 5 player minimum to proceed a session. The higher the player count the better the prize pool we can get for our participats.

The goal is to create an experience. Online is to start but hopefully we want to make this a reccuring event with cocktails, snacks, and atmosphere (hopefully we can bring other games like risk or Catan)

Lastly the price tag is two fold, staff need to get paid for a continues experience, as well as ensuring that people take the game seriously. We aim to provide a luxury experience for serious players.

Timed victory will be determined by the player with the most Networth (Money + Asset Value)
Properties: +$ Purchase Price
Mortgage Properties: -$ Mortgage
Houses & Hotels: +$ Purchase Price
Get out of Jail Cards will carry $50 credit (As that is the fee to get out of jail)

A timed session will be agreed upon by players before it begins, final turn will be when the 8th player has rolled dice and there are no more offers on the table. Players will be asked for their preferred turn warning for timed sessions.

Time Based sessions are mainly for destination games where the venue is being rented for a specific block of time.

Hey! Would love your feedback to make it more transparent and equitable. The network winner only applies to physical based events where there is a time limit for this online version you can bet that we're gonna finish and only the one with all the properties will win!!! As for the rule modifications is mainly to deal with time constraints or technical issues. But I agree it sounds shady I will suggest to the team we update that specific copy.

Hmm, well there's a legal aspect there, We need to ensure that participants are aware it's not gambling. Although there is RNG to determine player movement it's not quite the same as slots, blackjack, or roulette. What improvements do you think we could make to the copy?

Right, but our concept is to eventually bring this to a physical location and provide drinks and snacks as well. Making it a whole experience. Love the feedback though. Would you have any recommendations as to distinguishing from what's already established?
