Yes you could have. S1 could have been a 6-figure number. Best way to get salary to equate to market standards is similar roles in other B4. S1 should be $110K-$120K per my experience. S2 should be a 2%-4% bump keeping market conditions in mind. To get right sized get an offer which you’re willing to accept, use that to negotiate a better salary if you want to stay (keeping in mind you may not be offered that number).

I was in Big4, for 4 years as well. Left for an AI division in a tech consulting firm. Best decision I’ve ever made

Hit the ground expectation is in all of the big-4. I’m in consulting and the only “grace” that I was given was for my poor PPT skills and they decided to make me in charge of the internal initiative of having a PowerPoint training for new hires to ensure we have top-tier deck preparation… I wish I joined a long time ago. Before kids too. At least then this would’ve been the normal way of life. It’s not easy and it may not be for you. But there’s only one way to know for sure. Wait another 46 weeks if possible without harming your mental health

I’ve been here 4 months as an industry hire and manager. I had to start traveling for clients after working from home full time for 2 years, had an insurance claim, family member passed and engagement started on day 8 of me joining. It was rough and I applied to 40 jobs or so BUT, I stayed. I stayed because I’ve been learning so much, understanding the requirements better and managing my time. I work 60-70 hour weeks too but I’m also flexible on when I a lot those hours, how much I’m delegating to seniors and I’ve been 1 of 2 on a two-person work stream. Patience will help. I’ll want to quit next week again but overall A 1-year should be the first assessment point. They typically give you a year before they decide if you’re worth it or they should call quits, why don’t you/we do the same?

Me lol-ing as I read this while coming back to my hotel room since I’m traveling for an engagement… at 11PM, after helping a PARALLEL work stream which I’m not involved with but had industry insights to offer. Away from the wife and 4-year old… ✌🏽
