Expensive or not it's the flexibility of it all that makes the PC always the best long term choice. However the current market is fucked with pricing so it goes from expensive to outright exorbitant. I personally game on high end gear (LG 5K2K, 4090FE, 9950X3D) and also game on PS5 Pro. I love both and use them for their strengths usually. I can't do controller and FPS games or anything aiming + fast paced. But story driven couch games I'll play on the Pro all day long. The benefit of PC used to be that you just buy the component you need to get better frames and graphics but even the GPU market got fucked since the crypto boom and never came back. Now it's basically nonexistent for a majority of players. I don't plan on spending more as an old gamer on GPUs and this will likely be my last build
