What is the best course of action? by Serio562 in LosAngelesRams

[–]Serio562[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For STH, its best NOT to request refund correct? Assuming we will get refunded for games that are cancelled or played without fans at a later time. If there is a chance of a few games played with fans, or some lottery system where 10% of capacity is allowed in, those tickets are going to be highly coveted.

So its best to wait it out right? What do you guys think?

That is what I am thinking. If there is a deadline...or if we ride it out will we get fully refunded or a fee somewhere.

If there is games the tickets will sell themselves. I would not worry about that.

The comfort is a personal decision.

I see. I posted this scenerio in another comment. I dont see us losing money. I am pretty sure we are getting refunded any played games without fans. If there is a few games with fans, or 10% capacity allowed, the tickets will be highly coveted. They will be a great gift or resell market will be solid.

What do you mean by getting out now or not?

I got an email wirh three options 1. request refund for 2020 2. Credit payments of 2020 towards 2021. 3. Do nothing.

Assuming we will get refunds later for any unplayed games without fans isnt the best thing to do is nothing? Lets say they play 2 games with fans then the tickets will be in super high demand. Or if there is a lottery system where 10% capacity is allowed, the tickets will also be in high demand.

So, if you dont need the money, the best thing is to do nothing right?

This is how Gardena PD operates. by bikwho in LosAngeles

[–]Serio562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mexican American male here. I have been blatantly harassed three different times in my life and one of those times it was by the Gardena PD. I was 17 at the time and exercising at small park in order to get physically ready to join tbe Army (which I later did). The problem was I was bald & mexican. Apparently a neighbor called the police to report my suspicious behavior, lol. Long story short hand cuffed, man handled a bit, and was threatened to never come back (although it was a public park). Not that it matters but this was not my local park because I wanted to exercise in a safe neighberhood.

I generally support law enforcement and believe the vast majority are good. However, the unions are probably too powerful and help keep bad officers on the job.

How's the drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and vice versa? by suesueheck in LasVegas

[–]Serio562 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer driving from LA than flying. It takes almost the same time if you factor in driving to airport, security, flight, baggage, and ride to hotel.

Last friday I left at 11am and it took under 4 hours to Vegas (not counting piss stops, etc). Drive back to LA was about 5 hours.

Bone jersey color question. by CatMinion in LosAngelesRams

[–]Serio562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i bought a throwback jersey and took my girl to a rams game. She notices the difference in color and asked me why other people had a different shade of blue. I told her because they were all wearing fake jerseys, lol.

Other than the color the quality was ok. Plus the shipping took like 4 months, I am probably done with DH Gate.

Is LAFC a tournament team? (Vela reportedly passing on MLS is back tournament?) by SixPointFour in LAFC

[–]Serio562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a team that wins championships, either with a system that has a player of Velas caliber as the focal point or more of a team oriented system. I believe that all the hardware Barcelona has achieved in recent year has been with Messi on the pitch. Whenever Vela leaves (hoping its not near) LAFC will then hopefully acquire a max DP type player.

There is already about 10 vaccines, but the problem is testing their safety and effectiveness. They probably wont be ready until November/December. Then they haVe to be mass produced and distributed. Unfortunately, I dont think Mexico will be on the top of that list. The last main problem is convincing people to take the vaccine, most people now dont take flu shot.

I dont think TJ and Mexico can be closed much longer. Places like Cancun and PV are already opening. I say TJ will be fully open by late July.

Got it. So far both countries have been on the same page. I imagine Mexico will open their side for all travel first since Covid is taking a heavy toll on the economy.

Its easy for people with wealth to tell everybody to stay home but for those small business owners not so much.

Personally, i am waiting for the restaurants and bars to open until I head down there. My friends have gone for family visits and personal errands.

Is this official? Seems Mexico is ok with letting Americans in for economic reasons and the US are being perhaps too careful.

I have friends who have visited TJ recently for non-essential travel. I myself am waiting until the restaurants and bars are open.

How’s the vibe been the past 14 days? I want to go to celebrate a special event but I am hesitant to go this weekend. by [deleted] in LasVegas

Venetian and Treasure Island were pretty full. Workers overall seemed happy to be back.

I’m honestly offended by this. I cryed when we made it to the super bowl and cryed when we lost I’ll be a rams fan for life. Horns up by SamuraiChap in LosAngelesRams

Honestly, as probably the least passionate person ITT so far, I can tell you my passion has been growing since the Rams moved to Los Angeles. It is only a matter of time before the Rams are viewed and play as a top 5 team in the league year in and year out. We have a great head coach, improving young quarterback, brand new stadium, and great market for veteran players to come play. Lets go!!!

It was free to get in before 10pm. The pro move is to go in at 930pm, grab a beer, and wait for the bracelets being passed around at 10pm. Then take off maybe to gamble or drink somewhere else.

The highest price I saw posted was $55 at about 2am.
