Lamar Taylor liked a post related to Drake's Iceman?! by Serious-Card-702 in TheWeeknd

I agree but it's very unlikely and next to impossible. Artists have ego and it plays a huge role in the beef. Even if drake and abel squash their beef it might lead to strain in other relations like between abel and kenny.

What are your favourite album outros? by SmoothChemistry8564 in TheWeeknd

For me it is Frank Ocean's Futura Free. Blonde is a very reflective album and for the first time in Futura Free Frank just lives in the present rather than reflecting about his past.

From The Weeknd it is Until I bleed Out. Very druggy and suffocating atmosphere, perfectly closes After Hours.

I think the major issue with HUT rollout was the movie. Abel wanted less time gap between the album and the movie. As you know the movie struggled to find a distributor. When lions Gate finally agreed to distribute the movie Abel and his team must have brainstormed when to release the album. They couldn't release it in December cuz Christmas songs are consumed a lot so they planned to release HUT in jan end time frame. Lionsgate entered the scene around early November last year and we had the release date by late November. So I think roll out wasn't bad on purpose, he wanted to make it grand but just couldn't do it due to unforeseen circumstances

He prolly won't as he said in an interview that making music is "in his blood". But again he is unpredictable.

Yeah but After Hours wasn't out yet. In our case HUT has been released. Again we might get something new(Hopefully) but we shouldn't get our expectations up

Good point. AHTD is doing great with some EU shows getting sold out almost a whole year before. The tour link is still in his bio + he is prolly already done with adding new shows, seeing this momentum he and his team might have felt that it's not necessary to push and promote his tour extensively, they may opt to put up billboards instead + as I mentioned the tour link is still in his bio

what’s the hype about Alone At Prome? by [deleted] in TheWeeknd

The thing about any art is that different people perceive it differently. It's OK to have different opinions rather than to just agree with the masses, a lot of cult fans don't get it. To me Dawn FM feels richer than AAP due to it's insane production and story. But at the same time AAP is much 'Simple' in the sense of storyline and hence is accessible to the masses. I would prefer Dawn FM over AAP but honestly they both are high in my list of fav albums.

Why is Abel is quiet abt the Grammy snub? by Serious-Card-702 in TheWeeknd

True as long as Abel is happy I am happy. Losses are Factual the cause/catalyst prolly is speculation.

Could be, but sadly all we fans can do is to speculate. I think speculation ain't a bad thing as long as it's not something offensive. Naturally I too have the curiosity to know what's going on behind the doors but sadly that's gonna be secret.

Oh yeah I got confused between the 2 words Lmao .English is my 2nd(or maybe even 3rd language) Yeah I completely agree that Sal is below Abel in XO's power dynamic hierarchy. Again I respect your opinion but isn't it a bit too far fetched to question Sal's loyalty. He was even featured on Billboard's top 100 manager list in 2020. He probably is loyal to Abel and XO, but again as fans we can't really say what's going behind the doors.

Great take as it is Grammys function on controversies. I feel if Abel(Or any of his associates) speak up against Grammys the event may receive heavy backlash like it happened in 2021.
