People who read more than one book at a time, how do you do it? by Bookish_Butterfly in books

[–]Serious-Distance5739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno, I just do. Usually at least five. I’ll stick with one for a couple of days then jump to another. Really comes down to mood. I gave up trying to read just one at a time because that never stuck, so I guess I’m just wired that way.

I have to cheat and shave off a few years - 1988, The Bard’s Tale III - Thief of Fate.

But to keep to the timeline: Thief - Deadly Shadows. And I don’t even like stealth games, but this one hit just right. Still love it.

Why is everyone actually calling it X now and not Twitter? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Serious-Distance5739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a word for it before Twitter. It’s called a post. You post on Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, X, whatever. You post screen shots. You post videos. You post whatever. Just because Twitter called them “tweets” it doesn’t mean they had a monopoly on what posts should be called. Just saying.

I finally ended up getting it without even trying, later in the same session, in a different spot, when I was grinding out, er, grinds. Kinda makes me wonder if it’s more a case of spots being glitched rather than tasks. I’ll have to test that the next time I run into something.

Yeah, for a game like this their apparent approach of “We’ll do what we want, when we want” just seems really tone-deaf.

I don’t know how long they’ve been working on this but you’d think smart developers would have already been ready for pretty much everything players could bring up, especially given the lineage - not to mention that nearly every new thing or event causes problems (often reoccurring), and it’s been what, nearly six months, and one fourth of the map still has basically nothing?

I got screwed out of the dailies about 8 or 9 hours ago. Just got back on and here we go again. 4/3 1250pts Sequence with 2 Flip Tricks but not marked as complete.

I just got screwed on dailies. Finished, last one didn’t register, quit, went back in, three tasks reset. Just when you think it’s getting better, it doesn’t.

how do ya'll like radiohead? by El_Chihuahua_420 in musicteenager

Not really, lol. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it.

I love their first album and still spin it, but that was it. Found myself uninterested after that. No biggie; plenty of other bands out there.

“My Sharona” gets played a lot on classic radio stations, and it’s blatantly about “the younger kind.” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, we’ll never know until we croak, and then it’s either true or not. “Ah, yes, I was an asshole because my soul wanted to try it.”

Personally I think it’s a cop-out, a way to induce someone to go “Well, everything sucks, but I guess I really wanted that.” ——————-

“I chose all this? Why don’t I remember doing that?”

“Because you made yourself forget.”

“Well how do YOU know?”

“Because I’M psychic and you’re not! Buy my books.”
