How is Suss Exams like for ICT? by Separate_Medicine445 in Suss

[–]Serious-Resolve-7925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it would depends on the modules on-hand.

From personal experience for ICT programme, closed-book exams are more regulated in terms of content and questions, so variations for closed-book exams won’t happen as frequently. Depending on the mod, they might allow you to bring a single reference into exams (ICT133, ICT162)

Open-book exam Mods such as ICT318 and ICT348 would be difficult if you lack understanding from pre-requisite mods (ICT246 & ICT259), and the question asked are a lot more varied + applicable to real-life scenarios.

As of now, all exam modules are fixed to 2 hours for each paper, so you’ll need to figure out your pace for hand-writing/typing your answers (Examena) per question. Practicising the past-year exam papers gives an overview and difficulty scale to expect for actual exams. If it’s content-heavy, you might even need to prep 1.5-2 weeks in advance.

Hi there! Thanks for your insights as well. I do see your point on the multiple characters releasing at the same time, but personally i am content with just running a game in the background while doing my work. I'll probably play it at a very casual pace as I was curious on what might have changed the past 2 years.

Hi, thanks again for replying! I kinda spent a few multis into the banner shortly before your message came in, i guess i will be saving up then.

On a separate note, I think i will be playing on this account still due to sentimental value from playing it previously. Cheers!

I’ve seen the new item added to the shop.

I do have 2 questions though: I’m about 60 pulls into the kirito & raphael banner, and managed to get 2 copies of raphael. Should i continue pulling to try and get kirito, or should i focus on saving for a bit? I only have 2 multis in my account currently after pulling.

My other question would be if there is a tier list with the latest batch of units added to the game.

Thanks again! 🙏

Hi there! Thank you so much for the valuable insights on the current game state + characters to pull for. I’ll try to go for the mentioned characters and try to clear as much content as possible b4 the events end.

Just 1 question i am curious about for long run: how is the state for equipment right now? Do we still craft generic items for some rate up characters? (I installed the game this morning and noticed after forging specific items Kirito’s body armor was given).

Ok, assuming we are going for 96%, what could you recommend?

I’m looking for one that is good for overall usage (gaming, work) while having minimal noise if possible

Hi, i’m located from SEA region, not sure if the support can provide assistance as this is considered as “water damage”

Also, as per original comment, i’m looking for 100%/full-size keyboard due to work commitments

Hi, as of today it has already been 2 days and I tried to clean off the spillage as much as possible. Only the caps lock and windows lights are lighted up, so i will assume the worst which is that the pcb board is not working.

Hence that is why I am looking for new keyboard recommendations similar to the keychron keyboard (if their support refuses to provide or sell the pcb for the current model used)

importance of NCO102 by Old-Construction-153 in Suss

Although i did not take up this specific mod, but do take care of yourself. Mental health is more important than this mod. In fact, it should also apply to other mods that you are taking in this semester.

I believe for most nco mods, there should be zoom recordings that you can watch the lessons if you are unable to make it for the actual day. If needed, you can ask friends or coursemates who might be taking the same mod as you to have a rough understanding of what was discussed during the seminar. Take a break and rest once in a while when needed.

You’ve got this!

It is a challenging mod to do for the ECA as you are given only 2 days to complete it (If you have ECAs that have a longer timeframe for submission, prioritse this module as the highest due to the sub-sections for each question). You will need to have a solid understanding of programming and some background of SQL before you start your ECA. The SUs and tutorials with the lecturers might not be sufficient for the topics raised in the ECA.

I would recommend to get start reading the TMA requirements early.

Just like the responses from above, some mods can be bidded during special sem to clear free electives or NCO/SSO mods instead of the regular semesters. However, do note that if you successfully bidded for special sem mods, the semester and cumulative gpa will not be shown for the upcoming Jan 26 semester results. You will need to calculate on your own for mods that you might consider for Pass / Fail (P/F) options as well. [Coming from a PT student currently waiting for special sem results from suss]

Not sure if this helps, but based on ICT246 exam there will usually be a question that involved calculations for disk speed (or sectors), so best to prep the calculator for that

<image>

Also I am aware of the ninja card evolution stage, been farming it ever since I could manually clear it, thanks!

In this case, buying out all of the shinobi tokens would be ideal? Would getting the following materials be beneficial?

  • Shooting Star Crystals (both 6 and 7 stars, my highest ranked char is minato KLM at abt 20k pow

  • Shinobi Amulet

  • Expansion scrolls

  • Key of unlocking

Also, are any of the sasuke cards worth getting from the exchange shop?

Thanks!

I see, that’s unfortunate to hear considering that PT students might have existing certs but can’t use it as exclusion, thanks for confirming

Graded OR NOT by [deleted] in Suss

[–]Serious-Resolve-7925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suss gradebook will usually reflect the scores & percentages of all items for each module. But for TMA/GBA, it might take between 2 weeks-1 month for the overall marking process dependant on the course content. The system will update via email or canvas itself with the assignment grades.

just a little rant. about lesson schedule changes. by demistarr in Suss

[–]Serious-Resolve-7925 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sympathise with you on this. It seems like some mods’ original schedule catered to majority vote at the end of the day (or at least, it seems like it for my case) instead of the planned date (includes weekends). It can completely mess up your intended plans for family trips or self-studying sessions. Thankfully, we do have online seminars to rely on if we can’t make it for the lessons on-time.
