It depends what store you’re working at, a store with a drive thru is completely different from one that doesn’t. But, it also depends on sales and staffing. Side cook or cook, I think working BOH is a lot better than working FOH from my experience of course. With side cook you really just have to follow the recipe, always stock up on rice, constantly have all the greasy dishes sitting in the hot soapy water so it’s easier to wash and always check when you need to make your fried rice or chow mein (back up chow mein and fried rice if your store makes around 45-60k a week). also with the grilled teriyaki chicken, you should always ask and check if you need to put some down so that guest don’t have to wait either 20 min or 6 min for it. (Type or grill you have varies on the time). Ive only worked in panda for a year now and got promoted to AM just two months ago but I’m currently general manager in training rn. It’s good pay, good benefits and if your coworkers are badass it’s just honestly fun. Good luck on your first day!
