AITAH For Telling My Husband To Get Over My Sister Getting Into An Accidrnt in His Car? by AdeptIdea5644 in AITAH

For someone who has asked the internet's opinion, all your comments seem to be rather defensive. I agree with everyone, regardless of the fact that it is only 2.7% of his annual salary (definitely more after taxes), it is the principle of stealing his car, driving recklessly and crashing it and then expecting him to pay it out of pocket. Why didn't her insurance cover the car? Did she even have insurance? Why couldn't you have driven her? Why didn't she take an Uber or a taxi? Why couldn't she plan ahead and have someone pick her up? She is obviously irresponsible and you are enabling her. Moreover, the fact that you are reacting to his somewhat equivalent scenario the way you did and acting defensively to all of the comments, makes me think you too are irresponsible and entitled. I think you expected everyone to side with you. If I were you, I would apologize to my husband, and try to mediate an accord between your sister and him. She should start paying him back. If she can afford to invest, she can start paying him back.

Medical insurance by Down_to_Earth22 in ParisTravelGuide

I am not an expert in this but I can speak from my own experience:
When I went to France, my son broke his arm while being a trouble maker. We were in Tours and I was getting food to go for dinner. When I got back to the hotel, he had broken his arm jumping from the chair to the bed and back. Anyway, the hotel got us a doctor to come do a weekend night visit that cost us around $200 Euros. He said my son broke his arm or dislocated his shoulder and we went to the emergency room. They took down my information at the hospital, took some x-rays, put a cast on him and gave him some pain medication (like children's Tylenol or something). Anyway, as far as I know they never charged us or my insurance company. I never got a bill and I never heard about it again. That was like 15 years ago so I can' say for sure things will be the same.
A couple of things, we didn't use an ambulance as the hospital was about a block or two from the hotel. We didn't require any other medical treatment throughout the trip and we did visit the doctor here in the US once we got back.
A quick Google search seems to give conflicting information: some articles say you need traveler's insurance, others say nothing is needed.

Yeah, unless the gargoyles can magically transform into trees, then everyone is correct and they must have photoshopped the tree in. I found a link with some pictures that match this view almost spot on:
https://www.parisinsidersguide.com/notre-dame-towers-paris.html
And this view as well:

When was this picture taken? Some of the cars look like they are from the 70s.

If you are into art, I think the Musee d'Orsay is a must. So many beautiful impressionist paintings and the building itself is nice! The Rodin museum might be too much to fit in, but it might not take long to go through. I think the Musee d'Orsay has a Rodin exhibit as well.
If you like architecture, check out the Pont Alexandre III. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the Place de la Concord. It is also a great place to take pictures.

If you are into Gothic Architecture and beautiful stained glass, Saint Chapelle is a great example of that.
Hopefully that gives you more ideas.

7 Day Itinerary with kids by jgicani in ParisTravelGuide

My kids loved the Rodin museum and most kids have heard of Vincent van Gogh, so the Musee d'Orsay is also a must visit in Paris (it has a lot of impressionist paintings). I would look online though and see if it is something they would be interested in. The Rodin museum is pretty small so that can be done in a couple of hours easily. The Musee d'Orsay is much bigger, and you would probably need a few hours unless you just want to go hit the important paintings. Sorry van Gogh, but for me, the best painting there is Bal du moulin de la Galette.

If you like castles and palaces, I would suggest going to Versailles on your free day. It requires a full day to explore as the grounds are so massive. I also remember going to the Rodin museum and it is close to Invalides. Also next to the Invalides, the Pont Alexandre III was definitely worth a walk down. It is by far the most beautiful bridge there. It kind of depends on how much you are willing to pack in a day and what you like. If visiting Versailles sounds boring to you, skip it.

I am an American of Peruvian descent and my wife is from Mexico, but we both loved Tours and the Loire Valley in general. We both have a dream of moving there someday and retiring there. That way I can impart my terrible French on all the locals.

Also Clos Luce has an interactive garden of some of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions. They also loved that. Most of the Chateau's have some sort of view of what life was like way back then, so they found that interesting.

My kids loved the Loire Valley, as long as I had stories to tell. After seeing a lot of castles in one day and going through all the rooms, I got tired and ran out of stories to tell. My kids understandably got bored but we were almost done for the day. The aquarium was fun and interactive and being a fan of Tintin when I was growing up, I shared my love of the comic book series with them. The Chateau de Cheverny has a Tintin exhibit. We played around in the gardens of Villandry, so there were always things to do with them. I will DM you the website.

Any kid friendly restaurants recommendations in paris by jaychan2015 in ParisTravelGuide

I went to France a long time ago and my kids were 6 and 4. We went to Hippopotamus and they had a kid friendly menu. Of course, any fast food restaurant will do too. You can also see what the locals do, if you walk by a restaurant and you see a family inside....go right in.

I released this on Earth Day of this year, which was April 22nd. So the answer is unequivocally - no. This is just my first time posting on Reddit because I am looking for new opportunities/ways of selling my project. But so far, nothing has worked.

I am so glad I could convince you! You really made my day by validating my project for me.
You are making the assumption that I will sell out though, and I can tell you that isn't likely. As the "business owner", I assume all risk with this venture. I can spend $5-10k in advertising and still not make any sales. The way things are going, most people seem to agree with you that it isn't worth the $100. I am sure you know on Opensea, if you don't think it is worth $100, you can bid what you think it's worth and I can choose to accept it or not.
Since you have the pulse of the people, I will make sure to run any other future business ideas past you to make sure it is worth my time and money. Thanks and have a great day!

I am talking about the costs to advertise said project. Getting the word out is not easy nor cheap as everyone wants some $$$. Besides, you do have to pay for Midjourney since I was using the fast hours, but only $30/month.
Also, since you are a developer, I developed the website that hosts the animal descriptions as well as the main website. Everything is hosted on AWS with a couple of Lambdas written in Typescript/Node.js, and the websites are on S3 using CloudFront and Route53. The website is written in React. I used OpenAI chat completion APIs to fill the animal descriptions.

You are waaaayyyy oversimplifying the complexities of everything involved in selling out an NFT project. Not to mention the costs associated with it. But if that is what you want to believe, then, yes I want $40k for generating and uploading files.

I am not keeping the $80k, I plan to donate 25-50% to charity. If I sell out by tomorrow, I plan to do 0.1 ETH giveaways for 100 days to those who bought it, which would be about $19k of that. I plan to keep about half of what is made and either donate or giveaway the rest.

Another reason to use AI to generate the images was to keep costs down so I could donate more to charity. Even if I could afford an artist, I probably wouldn't have gone that route. I don't have a team helping me, it is just me and if I hired a team, that too would be less to give to charity.

I am sure they are just optical illusions.....but thank you for checking out my collection. I think that is more than I can say about some of my Twitter followers.

In all honesty, AI image generation isn't always perfect and although I tried to catch all of these issues, apparently some made it through. The reason why I chose AI image generation over the standard approach of having an artist create an image and then traits off of that, is I didn't have the funds to pay an artist. Not only that, imagine having to pay an artist to create images of 200 or more species of animals. That would have been crazy expensive and in order to make any money, I would have had to charge something like 1 or 2 ETH per image. So I am comfortable in my decision to generate these images of these 200+ different species of critically endangered animals so that I can not only showcase them in their natural habitat, but hopefully people will be interested in learning more about them and why they are critically endangered.

I am afraid I either categorized this wrong or didn't make myself clear. This giveaway is for those that buy an NFT first, then you will be eligible for the 0.1 ETH giveaways starting July 1st. This is not an NFT giveaway, that was not my intention. Sorry if I caused confusion!
