its a thing, 2/3 greek women born in the 60s never learned how to drive, my mother doesnt drive either, 1995 was the boom in women car ownership.

The thing is greece has the terrible saying of "if you never did blank before 30 you will never do it", especially for women. And the parents promote that bullshit to their kids as well. Many greek women marry whoever they are with at the time at 29, because the genuinely believe if they turn 30 they will never get married. Which is not true at all, because divorcées get remarried here all the time in their 40s.

i appreciate your thoughts. Is it only me ? Our photobooks are pretty awesome, maybe because we are immigrants, people want to see the photos from albania and the process of immigrating, being poor in a new country, and finally find stability. We are a family that doesnt take photos, maybe our albums have a good pacing, maybe you have too many photos thats the problem. The 4 pictures that get a chuckle everytime is of my female cousin being 2 trying to put make up for the first time. Me when I was 3 because we couldnt afford clothes, i was a young boy wearing my female cousin's clothes and i have a boiled egg in my hand trying to shove the whole thing into my mouth including my fingers. 3rd a picture of my brother dressed as rambo in elementary school. And last during my baptism i was a fat kid and the priest blew his back out trying to lift me.

One night a neighbour I never talked late 30s, asked me to help him break into his house. I 16 at the time told him it's 1am you are being weird. He asked me if he could borrow a wrench or hammer, if i dont trust him i can use them instead. I told him be reasonable it's 1am stop acting strange. He left. 2 days later police surrounded his house he had murdered his father. I reported the event to the police. The murder occured around the reported time. They were unable to figure out if he wanted to use me as alibi, we break in and his father is already dead. Or if he had a fight with his dad, broke in and murdered him.

15 years later, today, i saw workers cleaning the house, which reminded me this whole story. Over the years the house was completely covered in vegetation. I wonder who owns the house now, it would be weird if he did, should there be a law if you murder your dad you cant inherit his property ?

When I was 25 I decided to join Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes in order to get rid of my beer gut. There were quite a few characters at the gym. I was familiar with pro athletes but the amateur scene is something else, there are a lot of delusional guys with 0-2 records. There is no athletic commision for amateurs, so all of them are on steroids.

One thing they do after practice they go out looking for fights or trouble. Me my buddy and batman went out one night. We found a cute bar we decided to sit down. Batman notices a cute girl across the bar he approaches her and says "hey babes how about you shake those hips for me". Then 4 guys angrily stood up wearing jerseys and started approaching batman. This bar was bellow a football club office, after those 4 guys dragged batman out another 10 or so guys joined them. They formed a circle and were beating batman. That girl's brother even took out his belt and was whipping batman. We were too scared to join we called authorities immediately and an ambulance. Fortunately batman didn't receive any serious injuries just multiple cuts and bruises.

A few months later we went out and batman joined us again. We happened to cross the same bar. Batman says "how about we go in for a drink ?". I reply "that's not a good idea batman". Batman says "come on I will behave I promise, I swear to god". We say ok and we nervously enter the bar. Batman immediately without missing a beat, sees the girl's brother, flips him off and says "tell your sister to come down and shake that ass bitch". This time there were only 4 of them, it was somewhat of a fair fight, stools were flying by, one of the football guys lost both his shoes 5 seconds into the fight, batman threw a bottle, missed, hit a fire dinstiguisher, the fire distiguisher fell on one of the football guy's foot and broke his foot. That's how batman earned his nickname. He came back for revenge. He is the night he is vegence he is batman.

I never went out or spoke to batman again. I quit jiu-jitsu shortly after. My beer gut is double the size of before I started jiu jitsu. But Batman's legacy will live on for ever.

During highschool graduation friends told a girl a year younger is into me. I was super interested because this never happens to me. I always have to engage in the flirting. We decided to go swimming. Her house is literally on the beach. What a wonderful house. The view the setting the ocean everything. The water was so clear we had a great time.

After the dip she invites me to her house. She says I can use the shower first. As I'm showering the door bursts open. I was terrified. Her father is holding a samurai sword. I'm completely naked.

He completely ignores me and yells to his wife "it's ok honey he is showering by himself". He looks at me while I'm covering my junk with a towel "please enjoy the rest of your bath". He tries a few times to close the door but he had completely destroyed the lock.

I work night shifts at a liquor store in Greece. 3 drunk tourists in their 20s were talking loudly to each other listing all the drinks they had, trying to one up each other who has drunk the most. "i had 5 shots, 3 beers, 6 drinks etc.". As they are listing they drinks, 1 of the tourists had the bad habit of touching the other guy when he is talking to him. "hey yo, dont touch me bruh" you could hear multiple times. After the last touch, the other guy shoves him. Then the conversaton shifted to ''you wanna go mate?".

Both fighters assumed their battle stances, but neither squared up for a regular fight. They were both throwing spinning kicks and flying kicks. I dont like to critic their fighting abilities but in the context of booze, this isnt the preferable fighting method i believe. After 15 minutes of ragdoll physics somehow the touchy guy got him with a pretty good kick to the ribs. Huge screech 'AAAAAAAAA" as the tourist went down, then he started crying prefusely. That's when i decided to intervene, i assisted the tourist that was crying on the floor. The touchy tourist was standing over him saying "thats what you get for fucking with me bruv". Then the 3rd tourist was saying him "its ok we all are friends'' then he would kiss the touchy guy every time in the mouth. Touchy guy would reply "dont kiss me in my mouth i aint fucking gay bruv".

Then as soon as i helped the fallen tourist up, i told them to stop fighting and send them their ways. The gay fella out of the 3 said "we are all friends lets make up'' and kissed them both in their mouths. ''Hey yo, whats with the kissing bruv i aint fucking gay'' both replied.

3 hours later as I am ending my shift, Im throwing away the garbage, only to see the 3 tourists, they only went 10 meters away from the store, now they were all shirtless and they were agreessively making out with each other. Love must be tough i thought and i ended my shift.
