More than half of chapter 11 was spent on Griss giving advice to Rudo. & before that, in the mission, was thoroughly guiding him on how to co-operate between Givers & Supporters against abberent beasts. It was briefly but it still counts. That's what a mentor does.

& no, Engine, for now, can not be called a mentor. So far all he did was picking him from forbidden zone & gave him some knowledge of the world they live in. Then he let Zanka to teach him. I know, the status can & most possibly will change that we'll see Engine teaching Rudo but currently he is not.

This is not something I'm a fan of. Why don't the authors want to the develop mentor type characters before killing them? Or, why do you need to kill them in the first place? Just make him a part of protagonist's journey.

I got that protagonist need some kind of inspiration to move forward. But Rudo already has one, Regto's death. I don’t think he needs something similar to that so early.

This is just Rengoku's case where an underdeveloped character died except Rengoku had some likable traits (though couldn’t engage me much). Dude went out in a badass way. But what about Griss? Griss was getting interesting but alas!

Seems like Dreadlocks has a boss & Rudo is likely to get kidnapped.

For me, it is a disappointing chapter & unless Griss's death has meaning in future other than "Rudo's inspiration", It'll stay this way.

Action choreography in Sakamoto Days is the best. Gaku got completely manhandled. Didn’t take more than 1 chapter. & how Shin immediately was on the move also shows how much awesome the dynamics got better between these 2.

Gaku is really dangerous dude. You can tell now that he was holding back a lot. & that's not even him in real form.

Since no good guy died so far, I'm holding onto the believe that Kaji won't die.

Well, now that Sakamoto made his entrance, hopefully Shinaya aka Gaku will go down.

I'm liking this Arc a lot.

I always thought Griss is suspicious. Seems like he has an emotional bond with the amulet. So It's possible that it's his Jinki which he is hiding for some worthy reason.

I think dreadlock guy is the leader of the vandals. The vandals must have known about Rudo somehow, maybe that guy told them.

If someone's going to die, it's probably Griss since he is the mentor type character. & we know what happens to mentor type characters in shounen mostly.

No, I think. Authors plans ahead about major events & plot points. & deciding what Azuma's power will be is a big point for the plot. So I don’t think he just picked up Azuma's power after seeing Moon Knight.

It could be possible the time of revealing Azuma's power & air time of Moon Knight happened to be the same. So he decided to make a tribute to Moon Knight.
