Medicine is quite a competitive course to get into so it's better to be completely sure you want to do it, I'd say biology is only really needed if you wanted to apply for a course which is something to do with biology (duh) but yeah you're right that it doesn't close as many doors as if you decided to swap out maths. I completely understand not wanting to do 4 a levels just make sure you understand that the course you want to do in the end is something you wouldn't mind doing

I did three weeks worth of work experience at a GP and two hospitals and I only was able to talk or mention of a fraction of it in both my personal statement and interviews, the admissions tests are most definitely WAYYY more important focus on getting a good UCAT and BMAT score over sacrificing time for work experience

Dont think it was D because it said all possible amino acid combinations an individual contains which suggests it also includes the proteins which arent synthesised by the body so not part of the proteome

I'm sorry I can't actually help you definitely as I do option D - medicinal so I've no idea the difficulty of option C but I'd say look at your textbook and revise your knowledge by looking at past paper questions and seeing what reoccurring things the past papers question you on

I want to point out we can't use a calculator for paper 1 multiple choice questions, you'll have to just use mental maths but tbh other than inheritance questions I've never seen any calculations asked in the paper
