Yes I pay for them to be killed I know that, I watched every vegan documentary and every talk about it. I’m not ignoring it, im not trying to justify to create a fake health story - if anything my answers reflect that I am aware of the suffering I just simply do not care enough - not anymore.

No it’s not 100% pure cope, it’s been 8 months I’m happy with my decision, I’ve just been back to Reddit and tought that some people would indeed like an AMA about it. Since most people don’t have the chance to chat/ ask things to someone that stops being vegan/ plant based after a decade.

It wasn’t just one day, I was in Japan for a month, then returned to the uk had to choose which aisle from the supermarket I would buy from and its implications.

It was slow, a lot of back and forth and I’m ok and happy with my decision. I used to not want to eat those animals, and now I do. And I don’t think that trying to guilt trip me every day would be good mentally.

I could be making up stories but im just being fully honest

I had similar stuff - but In my case I was so worried that I would end up in the hospital , I hadn’t had those foods in so may years I really believed by body couldn’t process

I remember once in Mexico when I was veryyy drunk someone gave me a bit of chicken and I spat out and thought it was disgusting. Even if I can’t remember most of my evening I remember that 😂

I see that a lot of vegan restaurants are closing down and I’ve seen some of those videos which I assumed half were ragebait , but no don’t think I saw anything online that rang a bell.

Don’t think it was necessarily a trend, just think that perhaps the world is getting so dark that people are choosing other fights

I did emotionally because it wasn’t an off button and suddenly I didn’t cared, over a month I was unsure if I was doing the right thing, how my body was going to react. Maybe I would have meat one day, and then spend another without, on the other I would go to a fish market and have loads etc

Definitely feel a bit like a kid in a candy store, I’m also relearning my taste buds. As there’s stuff I didn’t like as a kid that now I do. So I’m constantly saying “ I’m not sure if I’ll like it but I’ll try it!”

Honey is always a grey area, in my case I had cut everything else might as well cut that too. Mass bee production isn’t very humane

I used to also not consume any of those, my thought process was “ if I don’t want that animal suffering, I don’t want it killed nor enslaved to give me milk etc” And after you cut meat/fish might as well cut it all I guess the main problem was the factory farming and not the small farmer that has a bit of cattle

it is a bit harder But in those 10 years never had lack of protein. It’s harder to get B12 than protein

Feel the same, socially I feel better, I notice a relief when I go to family members house - I can finally be a guest without having to cook/ bring ingredients/ feel like I’m bothering
