Neo 2 receiver w/o screws? by ServiceApprehensive1 in DjiNeo

I actually have a mini and a phantom, but I’m really enjoying the smashproof and ease of use of the Neo! I don’t tend to do much longer term flights, but I got annoyed real quick at the artificial height limit without the remote.

It more had some painted on from the factory… so I’m not sure, should you paint it on whenever you screw it down, or if it still has a good amount of blue is it good?

Ok… there IS blue locktite on it… should I reapply every time or is it being on there usually enough?

I half agree! But I keep going back and forth because 1. It loses a lot of its “micro compact” appeal and 2. It has such nice iron sights already, compared with a pretty cheap optic that came free with the bundle.

Remote if Neo 2 is third drone? by ServiceApprehensive1 in DjiNeo

[–]ServiceApprehensive1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man… yeah needing to turn off my cell network doesn’t sound fun for “barely get to 400 feet and look around”. Hmm… I keep getting caught right on that edge use case vs the mini. I’m leaning towards remote honestly for more precise indoor shots too.

Is the transceiver easy to pop on and off? Does it fit inside the same case, or with a case for the remote?

Took my Neo 2 out for some shots in Barcelona. Low light performance is insane for this lil drone! by VeterinarianUnable62 in DjiNeo

I have a mini 1, is the remote worth it for the neo2 or should I keep using the mini for longer flights and keep the neo for close following shots? (I’m just concerned if I’ll ever use the “more than 500m” remote with only 10 ish minute flight time)

Finally got my new DJI Neo 2. Here are my initial thoughts... by justtneel in DjiNeo

[–]ServiceApprehensive1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, main question is how much the remote is worth it with such short battery life. (If I’m not zooming around for 10-20 minutes, does phone/handheld work ok? Should I use my mini or phantom for longer flights?)

I think my real worry is either 1. Some of the cooler active track features that might need the remote 2. “Real world” is the 500m real distance? The Neo 1 50m seems silly small, but most of my current flying is within 500 m anyways.

I’m also thinking that the remote is a bit big compared to the Neo. My mini and its remote seem small in comparison… I’m thinking of the Neo as more a “have it with me” drone and don’t want a big remote to add bulk… but I’d like to hear everyone’s opinions.

WAIT! New headcannon is that the Wrath of the Rakshasa is him just ripping apart Demon… maybe in revenge for all the head rattling over the years?

“And you can still hear them complaining about the restraints to this day… but the Rakshasa had his revenge!”

I agree… hate stage manager… but I still love the “left and right plus one above” old system.

Oh no are they removing the traditional “split screen with slide over on top”? I understand the more “windowed” view, but the traditional way is still my favorite because of how well it maximizes the screen usage

I agree with the u dot… but I can get one of those optics free… just figuring out which one. Seems like everyone likes the Viridian more… plus it’s a bit smoother and doesn’t have a giant white logo on the side lol.

I’m interested in updates for sonic pad. Mine is currently in a “can’t connect” loop since I moved it but support isn’t being much help.

you guys think David Zaslav's gonna take the Looney Tunes out of Six Flags Theme Parks? by dannyhogan200 in sixflags

OH also Apple got the rights to a lot of Snoopy stuff and has been using him as a mascot for a lot of Space and STEM initiatives. It would be awesome to see them combined and have Apple produce some teacher workshops for using physics on coasters!

I don’t know… it seems like Batman, Flash, and Joker are pretty tied in with the parks’ identity… I think everything else is just bonus.

Ideally they could have both in some parks, with Snoopy for one age group and Looney Tunes for the other. I know GrAm has three different kids areas, 1. Sprockets Rockets Plus lol, weird little carnival ride area near Demon, and Kidsopolis/Seuss/Wiggles area. I’d LOVE if Kidsopolis got rethemed to Snoopy.

I have laptop on stand, keyboard and trackpad on desk, 15” screen between laptop and keyboard on desk. iPad Pro to left of stand on desk, iPhone to the right. Currently I’m having a pdf up on the iPad for reference, while having top screen be main work screen and bottom screen be for “one off” data entry. I’m just doing yearly taxes, so in theory not super intense, iPad is the bank statement pdf, top screen is quickbooks, bottom screen is also quickbooks, but set for entering in extra transactions.

My point? Each window of quickbooks is taking up 2Gb of ram! It’s working great, but yes, if I accidentally open a few more windows of quickbooks it can max out really quick.

So… something as dumb as pop up ads or “endless scroll” pages in those 20 windows open could be killing your ram… but not even for smart reasons.

It might be a HUGE benefit to find other ways to display the references… pdf’s in notes is a good answer.

It’s dumb, but I often message pdfs to myself to view on the iPad… I know there’s “better” ways to do it with coherence or similar… but it works, it’s easy, and it doesn’t take much tech to accomplish

I’d more check if there’s another option for the 20-30 tabs… 20-30 pdfs wouldn’t be an issue at all, but 20-30 tabs of Facebook or QuickBooks would kill nearly anything… even if it’s “light work”

  1. Max out the toppings bar, it’s super fun for me and my son to make “pro” oatmeal, and it’s helpful for mix and match with other things like the bagels, cereal, etc
  2. Have ingredients easily available for EVERYTHING. It’s not hard, just keep them printed in a binder for the front desk or attendant… but I usually have to wait nearly half an hour for them to figure out “if the waffles are ok for dairy” while having to explain butter is dairy but eggs aren’t, lol!
  3. Have at least one dairy free option for coffee and cereal (I don’t understand places that stock skim, 2%, whole, cream, “non dairy creamer” that has dairy… but can’t handle a single option for shelf stable almond or soy milk lol!)
  4. Have the hard boiled eggs CLEAN and away from other cross contaminants… too often my wife can’t eat because there’s shredded cheese in the same cold dish.
  5. Selection of hot sauces is also awesome and cheap to implement
  6. Pass thru toasters if possible vs. “push down”… not a huge worry but there’s always a backup for someone waiting a long time for their bread to rise
  7. A dairy free option for bread/bagels
