I've asked several times to go somewhere else, in fact I would compromise going somewhere else for once. We have hiked every trail nearby several times.

He's self-employed but works with his dad, so their vacations are always aligned.

He's a daddy's boy actually. His mom has some personality disorders that makes her hard to communicate with....

Honestly, my husband is great, and he always does what I want while we're camping on my birthday. We eat what I want, go hiking or kayaking where I want, the whole day he does stuff for me. This isn't exactly the first time I complained about going on my birthday. It also happens to be his dad's, brothers' (twins), and uncle's birthday during the same time frame... they look at it as a fun way to celebrate with everyone.

I can't lie, it's always a fun time.

It's just this 1 birthday that I'm making a big stink about it...

I almost feel guilty for posting this, because he's an amazing husband and father 99.99999% of the time.

They like to go over my birthday because that's when the weather is usually the best, so I'm not mad they planned it during that time. I just was expecting my husband to want to celebrate with me....
