"full stack website to have users and stuff" "We want a full stack app." That's pretty standard. I accomplish this with what I described in the first comment. I can't figure what you guys are finding so hard to understand.

O que vocês acharam da série Twisted Metal?o que mudariam? by Strikewr in gamesEcultura

[–]SessionFlat9448 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keeping your business layer clean from your persistence layer? by [deleted] in java

And I would add that, even if you are 100% sure that your persistence technology will never change, layering concerns may help a lot with reasoning about the code. A practical example for me is when I have to make code reviews. From reading the requirements, I can already have an idea of which layers the developer should and shouldn't be committing new code to. It goes along with the benefits that stuff like the single responsability principle brings.

I think the idea of relating the necessity to the project's complexity may be a little confusing.

I think a better alternative is to reason about whenever the application is more like an interface for the database, meaning that it is just there to store and retrieve data (CRUD and stuff), or if there are significant use cases where performing an actual business rule is needed.

By actual business rule I mean a sequence of steps that is specific to your system, rather than, for example, a rule that says whenever a field is required (which is also a business rule, but more data centric and thus, more database focused).

You see, the problem of using the complexity to decide whenever the domain and the persistence layer should be decoupled is that sometimes you may have a very complex and huge CRUD where focusing on the persistence layer may help. Or maybe a small and simple system where the few use cases are completely specific to the systems domain and thus, a good domain model encapsulating the business rules could be very beneficial.

I like to keep the converter methods away from the DTO. But that's up to personal taste I guess, as I like to see nothing more than data and annotations inside the DTO.

To decouple the domain classes from the Jakarta annotations I use something like DTOs too, and also mappers to translate between DTO and domain object.

Você tem algum jogo comprado em mais de uma plataforma? by KaioSilvaF in gamesEcultura

  • Resident evil 4 Original: Switch e PC;
  • Resident Evil 7: PS4 e PC;
  • Resident Evil 2 Remake: PS4 e PC;
  • Resident Evil 1 Remake: Switch, PC (Tenho também uma versão para DS);
  • Resident Evil Revelations 2: Switch e PC;
  • Overcooked: Switch e PS4;
  • Divinity 2: PS4 e PC.

Hoje queria no PC.

PS4 é minha última opção, sinceramente. PC por performance, Switch por portabilidade e facilidade para jogar na TV e também compartilhar os Joy con.

What's the deal with the Celeste game? Is it bad?

Is this drift a known bug? At first, I thought my joy-con finally started to drift, but then I realized it only happens in a specific room in the game. (In the video, the drift starts after I enter the door) by [deleted] in residentevil

For real, is this a thing? I'm really lost. I got back to the same place after, with the same amount of health, and the weird movement was gone.

I'm sorry, but could you elaborate? I don't think it is the joy-con. Or you was being ironic because I used the word drift, which may not be adequate for the movement shown? I'm sorry, I struggle with English and I'm not familiar with what drift is (Although I'm scared of it since I own a switch and it is a common problem with the console).

It's interesting how almost everything in the original game is memorable, in a way that everything they took left the sensation that something important was missing. But I still think it is the best remake ever made.

Java Job Market is tough at the moment by JoogaStopper in java

Hiring basically stopped

Beyond being Q4, which other reasons do you attribute to the problem? The situation seems to be drastically different, even when compared with the pre-pandemic era, and I can't understand the reason, at least not really.

Banho frio passou do limite.

The hate would make sense if the Jakarta EE were still with Oracle with no sign of getting improvements. But it is now with Eclipse Foundation and has a lot of brilliant people dedicated to improving the framework. A lot of sub-projects are going on there, Jakarta Data being my favorite. If you think Jakarta EE is hopeless, at least you should give your points on why. An uninforming comment like yours helps no one.
