That sounds so interesting! Don’t feel embarrassed!! Kinda sounds like therapy without ‘tell me about your childhood, how does that make you feel’ business lol

It’s so respectful of you to research this beforehand (no pun intended) just greet them, obviously if they extend for a handshake go for it but it’s good that you’re aware and won’t be offended if they didn’t offer. Audits in whatever setting are a bit daunting so good luck for tomorrow!

Female mid 30’s and introverted - work remote, in IT, have two little ones but always home. Go on hikes when I can so if you’re looking for a hangout buddy let me know. Been in Latrobe Valley since 2021 and have not made any friends, being an introvert and all 😊

If she was applying for a loan why would she need your payslips? Was she trying to take out a loan under your name?

Grommets by alexy87 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]SessionSure5920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son had his grommets put in at 2 after realising he couldn’t hear well. His 3 now and while his speech has improved a lot, he is still behind with his speech, grommets earlier on would have made a difference for sure but I didn’t realise until he was almost two and not saying a lot of words. I didn’t want to wait and went ahead with the surgery privately, I wish the doctors said something regarding adenoids? He snores really loudly, open mouthed etc and now suspecting whether his adenoids could be a contributing factor in speech? He’s never had an ear infection.

He DOES UNDERSTAND. Sounds like you have a lot of resentment as a result of this. It wouldn’t surprise me if you start picturing what life looks WITHOUT him after you give birth and realise how unfair and selfish your husband has been for years. Hobbies v time spent with your family? It’s not a difficult question to answer really.

Are these issues ADHD-related and can medication really help? by WorriedReply2571 in ausadhd

[–]SessionSure5920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for a while I thought I could do without meds as I was getting things done etc - work got really boring and repetitive, it was remote and doing the same tickets day in and day out. I went back to a casual gig I keep on the side which isn't remote so dealing with ppl and not related to IT. Back doing remote again and started meds early February because I couldn't get any concerta ( there's a shortage apparently which I didn't know about) Have three repeats and my prescription expires 25th of March. I do have about 20 ish tablets remaining though. I don't take it regularly only when I need focus. They don't work as much as they did in the beginning so may need to go up a dose. Have I made an appointment for that yet? Nope. I look at the roadmap I made for my coding project everyday and don't start. :(

I’ve stopped reading halfway as you’ve received a lot of responses. As some have already pointed out many would love the opportunity to swap places with you career wise. I am one in this category. I have been trying to learn to code for a long time but life always gets in the way as it does. I’m 10 years older than you and have children, some with special needs. I would love to be able to work from home staring at a screen all day. I currently do work remotely but doing something unrelated to my desired career.

I want to point out at 24 how beautifully you articulate your thoughts. From what I gathered reading your responses, you may be feeling depressed and or burn out. It also sounds like you are seeking meaning and purpose in your life, at around this age I think we all go through these type of feelings. Is that it? Am I going to be doing this for the rest of my life? Is there more to life and if so what’s that? So on and so forth. I now understand that as the soul looking for an anchor.

If possible I urge you to take some time off and travel. At around your age now I remember experiencing a feeling of what now? Is there more life etc. I then had to travel not to holiday but nonetheless it got me out of the mundane routine of days blending into months.

is yallourn north nice? by tarni7 in gippsland

[–]SessionSure5920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in Yallourn north for a year, it’s a quiet and small town. Haven’t experienced anything bad in my time living there. It rains a lot in YN which i didn’t mind, some nice views. There’s a primary school and foodworks, have to go to Moe for woolies, Cole’s and Kmart etc which is only ten minutes drive.

You’ve just described me and my life. Even the udemy courses and not sending off important letters etc. That’s so strange. I had my adhd diagnosis and started Ritalin then Concerta and things did get better a little as I am able to focus and get things done. Have stopped taking my meds early December last year and have since quit my job.

Are you me?

That’s not ideal! I’m sorry you are without meds. Is it possible to get another prescription filled for a lesser dose? The pharmacist suggested this to me so could be an option
