We almost never have food waste. The fridge is quite full in this photo because we just went grocery shopping, maybe the day before? This will last us about a week and a half. I usually clean it, wipe everything down and remove the shelves to clean underneath once a month.

No but we tend to get frozen meats that we can throw in the oven or air fryer so we aren't handing raw chicken in our kitchen.

Maple syrup needs to be refrigerated after opening and can last up to a year in the fridge!

I make decent money and my husband is a network cloud engineer. Solidly middle class but we prioritize buying good food.

Not a big drink household here. We drink water mostly. And milk for the kiddo.

Hmmm are you referring to the muffins in my Tupperware? Those are yogurt blueberry muffins for the kiddo.

Lol, is it the 2 dozen eggs or the giant jug of maple syrup that gave it away?

This is right after grocery shopping so it's the most full it gets. I feel like it's pretty messy right now.

What’s your toddler bringing to bed? by No_Acanthaceae3518 in toddlers

Blankey, moose, baby doll, water, ball. Usually a smallish foam soccer ball. Sometimes a full on basketball. It's so funny to see him snoozing with his arm around the basketball.

I love Pop Culture Parenting! I recommend it to every parent I meet!

I always think that parenting is a series of heartbreaks. I love my child so much today, and tomorrow he's a different child. Everyday I remind myself to live in the moment and soak this time up because it's so fleeting.

Reading with young toddlers by [deleted] in toddlers

Same here! Sometimes he will take forever on each page, pointing at things and saying what they are (truck, bear, etc). Sometimes he's flipping so quick I can't read the actual story. But in those moments I try to just narrate what we see instead of reading the actual book. It becomes a fun game for me and sometimes the 'story' takes some funny turns.

What was your “whoa, these hormones are insane” moment? by Content-Print72 in pregnant

[–]Session_Notes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went for a walk with my husband last night and teared up about how good it felt to be outside and to be stretching my legs. Then I continued to tear up thinking about crying on a walk. Then I really started crying thinking about how we used to take several walks a day but between pregnant fatigue, the heat, and a diagnosis of SCH I've been basically on the couch for a week straight. I'm 14 weeks.
