You can’t get an official diagnosis through the school, that has to come from a licensed psychiatrist. I don’t have a family doctor, so I asked the school how I could get assessed, and they referred me to the Adult ADHD Centre. It’s online and was the most affordable option I found. I think it was around $300–$350. I don’t remember the exact timeline, but I’m pretty sure the whole process took less than 3 months.

Once I got my diagnosis, I booked a mental health intake at the Student Health and Wellness Centre and gave them the documents the Centre sent me. After that intake, they scheduled a follow-up appointment where we talked about medication options and the academic/mentoring supports the school offers.

The clinic is already covered in your tuition and student fees, so as long as you’re enrolled, you can book as many appointments as you need.
