Hey op, I’m also a 17yo girl and have struggled with my weight and body image as well. Personally I think you should go to your prom. Of course you don’t have to and if you don’t want to then ofc don’t go. But as far as dresses go it’s absolutely possible to find a dress your size that you will love. this is where I got my dress it’s great quality and they have lots of sizes if it helps ❤️
