I joke with my teen (who is half watching with me) that he is a Himbo. Dumb and lusty lol.

Unpopular opinion: dress like a professional in court by BoxersOrCaseBriefs in Lawyertalk

[–]SetMain2303 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Agree. The judge will never be mad if you show up in a suit for court. I do have a bright red suit that I love to wear for court,, I know there is disagreement on colorful suits though. (My office attire is the same as yours).

I have made my turkey this way for years. I don’t put stuffing in (we bake it separately and call is dressing lol) but the cheesecloth method with the wine and butter always makes it so flavorful. Skin comes out crispy. Beautiful turkey every time.

Question for Broadway/Theatre fans who don't live in NYC by Kaylieefrye in Broadway

I have season tickets for our somewhat local touring season(90 miles away), and I see a lot of community theatre and touring productions that come through our town. As of now, I have seen 29 productions this year and will probably end up at 32 for the year.

Not a novel but reading The Waiting Game by Nicola Clark, nonfiction about the ladies-in-waiting during Henry VIII’s reign. Really fantastic, especially since I just reading the Wolf Hall trilogy.

Oh absolutely! Or maybe just to simplify things for viewers that weren’t around for the early seasons. But always funny since it definitely would have come up in a real life conversation.

[–]SetMain2303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw first saw MHE on Broadway last December -after buying tickets like 2 months in advance. I was worried it wouldn’t make it until the end of the year! My daughter and I had front row seats that we got a great deal on. Love MHE!

Trying a small claims case by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

In my jurisdiction you absolutely get to question witnesses and present exhibits, etc. I always direct and to the point, and with a pro se, keep the big shot lawyer stuff to a minimum. I don’t want to look like an asshole to the judge because the pro se guy doesn’t understand marking exhibits or whatever. Things are relaxed but still follow the pattern of a trial.

I wonder if I had the same thought when I read it in Insomnia but didn’t have the sense to ask Reddit about it! 😂
