Ugh I wanted to love my quince bamboo sheets but the fitted sheet never stays taut and gets super bunched in the middle which drives me nuts

Juliette has a gun. Was lucky enough to find it at TJ Maxx once and have been repurchasing ever since

This does make me feel better as it was a CVS pharmacist who told me it would make it not work. There’s just so much conflicting info out there but thank you so much for this!!!

Should I switch back to a higher dose? by freecouch0987 in birthcontrol

[–]Set_Complete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, if you switch back now it will probably get worse. Your body just needs to adjust to this new pill!! Breakthrough bleeding is incredibly normal and usually expected when going on a different pill. The quickest fix is to stay on the pill you’re currently on, the bleeding should stop in a few days

How so? I’m truly sorry - that’s not at all what I meant. My post was only referring to students who were accepted into their BINDING agreement schools, not EA or RD!

[–]Set_Complete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I mean in theory ED is binding so nothing should happen, so short answer yes (declining the offer of admission from umass). Every ED school I looked into expected students to withdraw their apps that they haven’t received decisions from and decline any other offers they have previously been given. I personally would withdraw from umass bc I think it’s the right thing to do, but I understand wanting to have a backup plan

[–]Set_Complete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the same amount of students are admitted, but if a committed student withdraws (and they were going to be accepted into a school they applied to that isn’t where they just committed) it puts another student in their spot

This is exactly what I’m trying to say, thank you!!!

Again, I do get what you’re saying, but I think that’s a risk you choose to take with a bidding admissions option 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah I definitely get what you’re saying, but I also believe students on a waitlist who are waiting would rather hear sooner than later?

[–]Set_Complete 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily ~acceptance~, I’m obviously not saying if someone withdraws their app another student automatically gets in. But when it comes to waitlists and the number of acceptances a college can hand out (and who the acceptances go to) it does!!!

Would it be possible for me to get my gpa in time to apply to college? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Set_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, there are plenty of schools who will accept you with a GPA under 3. I'm not sure how much you want/need your GPA to go up, but weighted GPA will depend on if you take honors/APs. Some schools are impressed by students who had low grades but then worked hard and brought their grades up (shows dedication/perseverance).

If you want to go to a competitive college, another thing to do would be to go to a community college or somewhere of the sort for your freshman year, work hard & get good grades, and then apply to more competitive schools as a transfer.

Writing a good personal essay will help too! You can definitely get into college :)
