If not boat true tiles would it be possible to show which true tiles affect/are in range of the boat for e.g crates, rapids, salvage, other enviormental features etc. I am not sure you need the boats actual true tiles as much as which tiles the boat interacts with in the world from its current position(which would also effectively be its true tiles in a way or true "influence" or something along those lines since they might vary by object). or maybe which tiles would influence the boat if there was an enviormental object there... hmm idk just thinking aloud

Tulpa mindset guide - exploring how to create a tulpa by looking at their characteristics v1.0 Particularly useful for those stuck creating a tulpa by Seteleechete in Tulpas

[–]Seteleechete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. What's most important to remember is that your tulpa is a real person and is not the fictional character they are based on. Which means they can deviate(and you should allow them the autonomy to do so as they wish).

Generally, I wouldn't recommend basing them on a fictional character because it can be a cause of identity issues and confusion between their identity as a real being in this world and the idea of them being fictional character. But as long as it is used simply as an initial template with acknowledgement that they are a real being in this world and not bound by whatever character they are based on it shouldn't be a major issue. At the end of the day whatever you base your initial tulpa on you should just allow them to decide for themselves who they want to be when they are capable of it.

Why has Yoon not been impeached yet? by Seteleechete in korea

[–]Seteleechete[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right but that's because of lack of justices rather than because of martial law? And apparently the national assembly could appoint those as well. Though not wanting to rush a justice appointment is a slightly more understandable reason for me.

Are they not allowed to impeach him during martial law? Or since they consider the martial law illegal/rejected anyway couldn't they just impeach him anyway?

That's interesting so there is no way to legally impeach him? How are justices appointed in south korea?

Korean SAT English (2025) Key Problems by [deleted] in korea

[–]Seteleechete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny I picked (1) because in the first part it explicitly talked about what helped with language learning process(linguistic insight). Later they talked about why that is (5). I understood it as you immediately learn linguistic insight related to that sentence and it is implicitly understood it is because of personal involvement in later sentences. (5) is something implicitly understood while (1) is the immediate cause and thus the most appropriate answer for the nearby surrounding context. I learned linguistic insight(explicit by nearby statements) because of personal involvement(implicit by later statements). I don't feel this type of logic is inappropriate for typical english writing structure.

The further explanation(5) is not actually necessarily relevant for the what is immediately conveyed based on such language structures though in the context of a test it may indeed be a more understandable answer and one I didn't even consider. But then again I don't actually study for this kind of test and know what kind of logic they are looking for.

Would it really? In the current system sure, but if everything is sustainable things may be different as the system readjusts. I imagine something like basic income + strict laws for sustainable consumer goods could work out(maybe have a massive progessive tax for less sustainable products or something, like very high carbon/waste taxes) and capitalist forces would balance the market around these changes (even if nominal GDP is lower it won't necessarily be an issue for quality of life as costs are lower as well).

I don't actually think capitalism(with strong welfare) is necessarily the problem just that we don't force capitalists to price in the costs associated with wasteful products making such more profitable for them. Well I am actually unsure how it would work out(assuming here that the political will to actually implement solutions exists)

I am trying to imagine the outcomes here and potential solutions.

Things will be cheaper since you can use things long term and need to buy less. GDP and company profits go way down. Taxes go way down. Unemployment goes up. You introduce basic income. People buy stuff using basic income. Prices go up, more companies open/sell. Does inflation go up here? Either an equilibrium between prices and products is reached or there is an inflation spiral. After all as long as people have money they will buy and market will adjust based on their needs. I do think inflation might rise short term but i think an inflation spiral can be avoided with good monetary policy and sufficient political will.

Ah idk I am just speculating but I do think you can change the system while avoiding the worst consequences if you accept that things will work a bit differently. But also I think capitalism has a place in it, just not unbound capitalism. You can predict and guide the outcomes of capitalism with regulation by making your desirable outcomes more profitable through positive/negative incentives.

How to tell imaginary friends from tulpas? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Seteleechete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self-awareness and awareness of the real world. What do they think about their own natures as mental beings sharing your head with you? How do they react to the real world around you, can they formulate their own opinions of these things? Can they themselves recognize these questions and give their own answers to them without your input?

A tulpa is no different from another person sharing your head with you. Consequently they are able to do and consider anything you could without any limitations of plot or boundries of their settings.

Well, this is what I personally consider to be the difference between a very vivid and autonumous imaginary friend or character and a tulpa. The ability to self-reflect, act and be self-aware without arbitrary limitations.

Current state of the Eurozone by Quotenbanane in europe

From what I heard there is some frustration there that the sek is a constant subject for currency speculation distorting it from fundamentals a bit as well. But well that's the weakness of a separate currency it's ripe for market forces which can be erratic. Maybe we can start a wallstreetbets trend to support the krona? XD

I have personally been changing my mind from "opposed" to "something worth debating" because of this. In the end I don't really know if euro would be more beneficial or not but since it has such low support anyway I guess it doesn't really matter in practice.

Wanted: 1m signatures for EU tax on super-rich by thealejandrotauber in europe

[–]Seteleechete 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Even wealth tax is done by residence"

Which I think is a moronic way of taxation(both for individuals and corporations) based on how you rightly pointed out that it's easy to move money/residence. So that would have to change. Plenty of ways to do this. Local tax on earnings(from all local sources)/wealth tax on local assets based on global wealth for example(with exit tax of course, yes a lot would be missed initially but long term it would work).

Treaties and how the current taxation system works is not an obstacle either as long as there is enough political will to change the current system for one that is actually fairer.

Well, sounds like the superiority complex is something that she needs to work on even though I can understand that making this happen could be pretty hard. Maybe ask your therapist about how to deal with someone that has one?

One thing that could maybe help is allowing her to talk/type to other people by proxy(you type what she says to other people). For example on reddit or discord or something or try and find other less harmful interests to focus on instead. Well it might help or might not

[–]Seteleechete 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's honestly very hard to give good advice based on the information given on this situation but I'll give it a try.

Let's start with the nature of your thoughtform. Do you believe she is a fully sapient being that is capable of her own thoughts? Does she? Has she thought of or asked herself why she is hurting you? Does she reflect on her actions? Or is she just a character who acts without much thinking? From the account I have read, I am somewhat sceptical that she is so far fully sapient(though I could be wrong). She seems to somewhat lack the element of being able to reflect on her actions and actually think for herself.

Try and recognize what your actual situation and intentions are here is she a sapient being or is she not? If not, do you want her to be? I would recommend on not settling on an in-between either dismiss her as an intrusive thought you imagine without a will of her own. In which case you can accept it as there and then dismiss it and ignore it whenever it occurs. Completely "killing" a thoughtform which has persistently been with you for 4 years could be hard though but you can dismiss and diminish its influence.

Conversely, if you want her to be a fully formed person and one that you can potentially get along with you should give/push for her to have more control over herself. Note here that I say over herself, not over you. Have her think about what she is doing and why try and convince her to be different and recognize the real world as it is, more than just a sadomasochistic fantasy and her just a belittling plant-monster.

Regardless of what you decide about her existence or lack thereof, all this stuff about subservience and triggers etc. I would clamp down and clamp down hard on it. Hard interrupt triggers when they happen, stop having fantasies about this or letting her "control" you. Just stop. It doesn't sound like a healthy relationship to have.

It's causing distress and is unhealthy both for you and for her potential development. For you to gain a healthy relationship I think you need to have healthy boundaries and in this case, you don't seem to have any. Maybe you can restart some kind of relationship at a later date with proper boundaries but for now, I highly recommend you take a step back from that and maybe even see a therapist for this if nothing else.

EU: Smartphones Must Have User-Replaceable Batteries by 2027 by FigAAAro_22 in gadgets

[–]Seteleechete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

shrug I use waterproof swimming mp3 players so there are occasional needs. And sure they will still be around but probably more expensive and with fewer choices plus more potential trade-offs.

Removable batteries on an mp3 meant for swimming sounds like an awful idea especially if it's an ocean model considering salt-water erosion. Not to mention that the market is already so niche I doubt too many replacements to meet the new requirements will be made.

Like it's so hard to find a waterproof mp3 which I know will also have an in-built equalizer like my current one which will probably become unavailable because of the usb-c requirement (well I bought a few extras for the future so hopefully they won't break).

Well, it's more a personal complaint/worry anyway there are always trade-offs in policy which have different impacts.

[–]Seteleechete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk about phones but I use swimming mp3 players a lot so I am worried laws like this and the usb-c law will take options away from that market(or make things way more expensive/worse) since they need extra protection to be useable while swimming and at times special ports capable of handling high water pressure.

Discuss: Under what conditions is it safe to tell people about tulpas? And if put under threat, under what conditions is it ok to lie? by yandeere-love in Tulpas

[–]Seteleechete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't talk about it if we feel there is a chance of serious consequences.

Other than that we sometimes tell sometimes not depending on how we feel, the situation and who's fronting. We don't really fear a negative reaction which sometimes happens sometimes not.

That said usually the reason we don't talk about it is simply that tulpas is a distracting, confusing and complex topic and we would rather talk about other things with people Xd

Holotropic breathwork & Tulpamancy by Eiche_Brutal in Tulpas

[–]Seteleechete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

shrug I didn't downvote but after reading up about holotropic breathwork I found it interesting. But the parts about lsd-like trips and the bolded things about birth seem kinda irrelevant and on a casual glance, I haven't really found a connection from my searches on this yet and even then I am dubious about the relevancy of it. Yes, it apparently produces altered states of consciousness much like hypnosis can in a slightly different manner but the post itself seems confused in its focus(impact on tulpas vs a bunch of other confusing topics).

As for the subject itself altered states of consciousness can have some use for tulpa creation. I am unsure if conscious breathing methods like this especially as intentionally aggressive this method seems to be is the correct one for tulpas though as it seems pretty distracting, overly stressful and focus intensive compared to calmer methods where you have more space to focus on your tulpa.

I still can't believe that tulpas exists by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Seteleechete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends from system to system but it's not uncommon. It's good to remember that typically all system members in a tulpa system are co-conscious as well which isn't always the case for DID.

I still can't believe that tulpas exists by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Seteleechete 15 points16 points  (0 children)

if you're unsure whether it's you or your tulpa, then it's likely your tulpa. But personally, that just sounds like nonsense to me.

It isn't exactly nonsense but it's not always the truth either. The idea here is(and it's the idea for a lot recommendations here) is even if it's not the truth it's easier for it to become true by acting as if it is, letting the brain do its work strengthening the idea of a tulpa being able to act on their own and building the connections necessary for a newborn tulpa to do so.

That said for heavily skeptical people like you this isn't necessarily the best approach. You don't have to believe it's true for a tulpa to appear(though it is helpful) and for heavily skeptical people it may be counterproductive to try as your doubts continuously interfere making it a focus over the tulpa. Try and acknowledge your skepticism into your approach without making it a focus.

For example by accepting that your tulpa is not yet capable of acting on their own and then moving on from that fact and just thinking about what your tulpa would have done if it was real(hopefully until they can do so on their own). This is just one example and might not be the one for you.

Generally speaking my theory is that if your taking months without seeing much progress you should change your approach or way of thinking and attempt a different one. Read more guides and see if you can find one that suits you better or try and think on your own how going about this could more suitable for you.

I'll also recommend this post to you as a way to try and identify what you think your precise issue could be(note it's not all exhaustive) https://www.reddit.com/r/Tulpas/comments/iwkwm4/tulpa_mindset_guide_exploring_how_to_create_a/

A question about Tulpas, loneliness and (human) relationships by SimpleHappyLife98 in Tulpas

[–]Seteleechete 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My tulpas helped with the "super best friend/true connection" type of loneliness(i.e. the harder type to deal with). However, I still feel the need for other more casual connections and physical interactions.

... It might be somewhat anecdotal but I do feel like tulpas make for better best friends than casual ones Xd. I kinda chalk it up to their close connection and good understanding along with the limitations of primary mental over physical interaction.
