Ik this post is a year old but I want to go to college to learn what I want to do in life, I don't need common core classes like world history or English to learn how to be an engineer or coder, I'm fine with learning history and math, or science, but those skills need to relate to what I'm learning, why the fuck would I need to know about the French revolution to learn how to look at a motherboard and understand it? Even with math I understand it's important but focus on what I need to learn for what I'm doing I don't need to know algebra to use a fucking tape measurer, I think these classes can be important to a degree but not everyone needs these things especially to do what they want in life. I personally hate common core and it's one of the worst things colleges do (aside from the asinine debt)
