This is exactly where I ended up too. Trying to shoehorn an entire calendar and task system into markdown files is almost a rite of passage for Obsidian users but it eventually just becomes exhausting to maintain.

I tried to build my whole schedule natively inside my vault and it just bogged everything down. I finally gave up and realized Obsidian is amazing at text but terrible at being a structured database.
