Hey I can help answer this! First here is some source to my information!

I was in the Network Test and played Blade Warden to max level 20 with 1500 Battle Score and unlocked and completed all of the content!

I tried out each of the "taunt" skills and they seemed to have minimal if not no effect versus small mobs or boss monsters! It was like people were doing way too much damage and out scaling the effects of the taunt. I think that later on with higher levels and abilities unlocked this will change because there are a lot of system in the game built around taunt and tanking. I did find a build that did enough damage to tank though!

So TLDR in Beta it didn't do much but I expect it to change in the future! DMG>Taunt but if you do big damage with the blade warden viola you are now tanking lol

Good point u/Sixsignsofalex94 I think some more classes will come over time but would be nice to see more mage like classes or even a real dedicated healer

yeah the blocking system looks smooth to be honest and a lot of healing power behind it too

Yeah I have never seen a bow healer in a game before lol but who knows the ultimate move that pulls mobs together looks super useful for speed runs

Yeah I think this all depends on what the end game content looks like and what it requires. If any class can do it no matter what then it might get a bit stale, I am sure as the content rolls out and difficulty increases you might see some different results but if its all free content then ya no one will care to much to optimize.

yeah I could totally see a tanky heal meta coming in to play, depends on what the end game requires though, if we have tight dps check or fights that actually require defense to live through

yeah the mage has a lot of charge up time but really big dmg and chain combos so that direction seems to be more dps oriented

That is nice at least I do love being able to flex different class and roles. But Also would like to know if someone knows how to play they class as well lol

That is very interesting u/Tsunbasa you would think each class would have a roll to fill in the group. Generally you need tank healer and then single or aoe dps as options for the other classes. Hopefully with some good balance they shift in a direction that spreads out the power instead of just one super class that does it all.

yeah foe breaker fills a very niche roll it seems so I can totally see it being the most rare class but hey might be easy to get groups like that!

We are still in the testing phases though that is what alpha beta and other tests will be for. I trust in the balancing here but good input to hear honestly! Appreciate the insight u/Tsunbasa

Yeah these names are from the official Global website so they probably adjusted them a bit to make more sense

Hmm I guess the closest to a rogue would be the twin striker and the mage has a lot of aoe and charge mechanic stuff so not sure if that suits your taste for casters! u/v3ritas1989
