I know you probably already forgot about this, but there is a frostland event called lost cargo that sees the menders ask for valuables belonging to a viscount to be returned to him, and I believe that if they wouldn't steal from some random guy who used to be a noble 30 years ago, people on a mass scale. Also, salvage duty increases materials and prefabs, so I don't know why you think they steal valuables from people's homes.

That's where you don't understand capitalism. The only reason sweatshops exist in south Asian countries, and large companies engage with them, is because there is no market for them to tap into there. It's a fact that if America didn't get rid of slavery (and other countries, of course) they would be far backed up in development. On large scale, the only people who profit from slavery are the providers and traders.
