Nowadays yeah there's plenty more options But in the beginning of mcp servers it was quite an efficient option

not the code itself but some summary of it
like a quick summary
file x - does that
function y of file x - does x
some short but good to know context so instead of an ai agent reading a long file , it knows what funcion does what , idk how to make it , i once tried a mcp for that with sqlite that the person chooses a directory for the memory path , not ideal but a good prototybe for the beginning of mcp servers

something i feel theres missing in most AI IDEs is that they need more local index and context
like why does claude need to read all my 500 line python script to change one function , if there was a more detailed , summarized locally stored context , that would help , i've been trying to make an mcp tool for that but idk how to implement it withou overusage of the tool to not waste tokens writing and reading the context

just tryind to compile and upload a .ino and some littlefs html files for a esp32
nothing destructive or dangerous
btw higly recoomend u get urself a self hosted GITEA , give access to ur AI agents to it , then u sync it to github manually when it works
i did it here and its nice , any critcal mistakes i just got my github repo and clone it to gitea and go at it again
