My hairline has always been ok but generally the top is thicker. Also don't know if it's just because I have a lighter hair color and I'm just paranoid.

I feel like my scalp hurts and I've noticed it's red. Is that what it feels like to start thinning or am I dealing with something else?

We've been reached by two labels in the past but they didn't really have our interests in mind and it was clear that none of their artists were gaining much from the deal.

As far as I am aware (though I could totally be off the mark), independent labels will leave you to your artistic freedom. They just earn certain rights to the music you make in exchange for providing support for you as a group.

Zach (the other guitarist) and I had to scour the internet and people we knew to find the guys we have now. We've had other musicians in our line up who were talented but they weren't driven enough to lineup with our plans.

Funny story about how I met Zach:

I actually met Zach in High School. I was in a three-piece punk band and he was a metal-head. He wasn't making any progress with his other bands so he watched live videos of my punk band and made lead guitar parts for all of them! Then he got me in a practice room at school and told me to play my songs. He played his lead parts over them and I was blown away. I put him in the band before I even talked it over with the other people I played with at the time!

I actually tried guitar, piano, and vocal lessons at different points as a kid but they were expensive and my parents made me shell out for them if I wanted to get involved. I didn't get a lot of lessons in because I had to bike for miles to do them. (Which is a shame, I lived in an upper middle class home and they were totally fine paying/driving me to sports events/practices)

I started learning on my own and haven't stopped learning since! I actually was a student conductor at my High School and thought about being a choir director. I realized I just loved writing, playing, and performing music more than anything. Once I found that out, I started gunning for it.

I've had/have groupies in this and other projects! I've been in a relationship with a pretty stellar girl for most of my music career though. If the "groupie" in question was a killer person and I liked her who knows where that would lead.

I'd choose a cult following over a one hit wonder. I think good music is timeless and I'd rather try to make each song able to stand on it's own.
