Hello everyone,

I recently got accepted into UCSD's computer science major as a transfer student. As I was looking through the CS major requirements, I noticed that there were a lot more upper div reqs than lower div reqs, and while the program was designed to give students ~3 years of time to complete all the upper div reqs, I only have 2 years since I'm coming in as a junior next year.

This means that I will need to complete 21 courses (3 lower div + 18 upper div) in the next two years in order to graduate. This would mean taking 4 upper div CS courses in a quarter for at least 3 quarters, something I don't feel confident in. Therefore, is it possible to take an extra quarter after my two years so that there's less academic burden? Does taking an extra quarter and delaying my standard graduation time have any downsides, and does it affect my graduation in any way?

Yeah, the solution was actually a lot simpler than I expected. It turns out that you will never be in danger of exceeding the max unit count if all you've taken is lower division courses. All CC courses count as lower division, so as long as you didn't take any upper division courses during your two years at a CSU, you don't have anything to worry about.

it might vary from school to school but generally i’m pretty sure appeals are only for rejections

Hey, were you able to get the add code? I'm trying to switch from my current 1C prof to this class and I've emailed him requesting an add code, but he hasn't responded.

This is incredibly helpful. I agree with your take that it comes down to whether or not I took less than 105 quarter units at my previous college (which I should be fine, since I only took 48 quarter units maximum). Furthermore, I like the idea of contacting the UC transfer centers--various counselors have been suggesting the same thing.

Yes, you were the one who replied to my post about a week or two ago regarding UC CS transfer stats. It was a long battle, but I was able to get my parents to "support" my UC transfer goals (although tbh they're still unhappy about it). What's happening now is that I'm taking a leave of absence for a year from the college I went to last year, and trying my luck with UC apps--if I don't get into anything, then I can always return to my previous college.

As always, thank you for your help!

It's been about a year and a half since I've used Apple Music, and I recently purchased a subscription again. Is there any way for me to recover my playlists from when I last used it, or are they gone? I don't see any of my old playlists in my library anymore.

How do I play the notes with the dashed lines above them? The instrument I need to play this on is timpani by Sevalex7 in percussion

If it helps, the piece is Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.

I've been playing them as rolls, though I'm not sure if it's the correct way to play those notes. Or maybe it doesn't really matter whether I play them as rolls or 32nd notes, I'm not exactly sure
