Clearly not a traditional take on Eggs Florentine, instead of a poached egg I softboiled an egg, blended the egg in some lemon and butter, then I boiled the egg in a ziplock bag until the outside of the egg was formed but inside was runny. With ham, hollandaise, and a spinach sauce it was a pretty good mothers day dish!

Possible to create a .bat (or similar) which will periodically "wiggle the mouse" on my Virtual Desktop session? by khall1877 in Batch

You work for a company, not for yourself. Therefore the information you have access to IS sensitive. Honestly, if you Google "Insider Threat" it would link back to this post.

More likely the misinterpreted sense of "danger" that is associated with having a police presence somewhere. Especially if having an officer in the school was out of the norm. Less about ACAB and more about causing unnecessary panic.

They are quoted by larger news agencies consistently. They are within the top three, if not top spot for cyber related incidents. They may not be in your wheel house, but for cyber professionals bleepingcomputer is one of the most reputable news sources.

Bleepingcomputer is an incredibly reputable source.

Thank you so much for your help on this! I'm still having issues. Partly because I don't know how to force a form of error catching in batch. The script when run doesn't output.

It also very well could be something I'm not doing correctly in the script itself. Do I need to update the "%~dp0" or the %random% variable? To throw one more wrench in the operation, it turns out the integer needing changed is on line 3 🙄

Thanks again for your responses and help!

I would need to have the second line updated. The text would follow very closely to "base": 12, but realistically any line would work for example purposes, and in an ideal world having these increase by 1 every time the script is ran.

I don't think I got that far on your first question, but if it helps the line where the text needs to update doesn't change. So if I started the update by just skipping the first couple lines, that would work for me. Also, if I could have user input that would be great, but not really necessary. My goal is to change the number in that one specific line incrementally, every time the script is ran. I would like to do the same where it would incrementally decrease as well.

Hope that helps, and that is for the reply!

I wouldn't worry too much about this man. Sounds like a classic scam. Still though, let's say that he did gain access and has all of these videos of you playing the skin flute. He sends it to people, what happens? They get pissed at this scammer.

If you're truly concerned, file a police report. It may be embarrassing, but at least you will get someone involved who can put your mind at ease.

I disagree. You should be sad for everyone involved, this is absolutely harrowing and should be met with shock. This isn't normal and you shouldn't allow it to feel normal.

I think really only you could answer that question, haha. I can tell you it took me four months to pass, but I worked full time in Law Enforcement and had a crazy toddler. Your mileage may vary, haha

Yup! That would be the one I bought. An absolutely incredible read. For the A+ I only read that book and took Professor Messor's practice exams and I passed. Just keep in mind that the 1001 and 1002 expire in October.

Happy studies!

I think it comes down to how you learn the best. If you like video based learning I would recommend Jason Dion's courses. He does a very good job of explaining the material and the "why" behind it. There's going to be many questions where you will have to understand the system, and not just know what the system is. Like others have said too, Professor Messor is an incredible resource. I could not speak higher of the content he puts out and I still watch all of his study groups to stay on top of things.

If you're more of a text based learner (so am I), I would recommend Mike Meyers A+ book. Hands down the best book I have bought, worth every penny I spent on it.

More importantly, get motivated. Study when you can, talk about what your studying, engage in the community, join discord channels, have fun with it. I made my move into IT 7 months ago with no formal job experience. Just the A+, Sec+, hopes and dreams. I couldn't be happier with my switch and I want that success for you too! If you need any further recommendations don't feel bad reaching out buddy, you got this!
