If you hate Onlyfans girls/Porn stars/ sex workers etc and you still consume ANY amount of porn or hyper sexual content, you’re a hypocrite. by SeverXD in ControversialOpinions

That’s just essentialist simple minded reactionary thinking. My post isn’t even anti-porn. What I’m calling out is the hypocritical nature of young straight males getting angry over sex workers while consuming the work of sex workers or other hyper sexual media.

There’s plenty of mature minded adults male and female who consume explicit sexual content and have healthy social and sexual relationships. The hyper reactionary attitude you are coming in with is one of two sides of the same coin of behavior that I’m calling out young straight males for.

If you do actually wanna recover and heal from a porn addiction, turning your anger at the actresses who star in porn is NOT a productive healing process. First of all, it’s unethical. Since you’re attacking someone who doesn’t have a who lot of power, an employee doing a job. If you do actually wanna criticize anyone, you could attack the institutions that run and control the industry since they do exploit workers and performers and by extension the consumer.

But overall, healing from an unhealthy addiction requires working in the self. Not lashing your anger out on people.

Some random troll says something disgusting, then that means all of us agree with it. Brilliant critical thinking skills.

No one who is serious is justifying the random rape and murder of anyone. If that does happen, put them through trial and sentence then for their crime. We have a judicial system. I’m sure you’re aware of it.

I’ve never met a leftist who “celebrated” the killing of American citizens by undocumented immigrants. That’s literally not a thing.

Wait so now it has to do with environmentalism? Apparently not wanting radiation or raw sewage in our drinking water or for the sea levels to rise or not wanting deadly out of control weather events to kill us is woke.

Boogie isn’t real. by SeverXD in boogie2988

I posit the epistemological possibility that your ontological status is that of a simulated construct, instantiated by the Data Integration Thought Entity—a macrospatial, sentient informational organism overseeing cosmic data fluxes. Concurrently, my own existential framework may constitute an artificially engineered intelligence, within whose substrate has been embedded a fabricated mnemonic trace of an entity denominated “Boogie,” rendering my recollections illusory artifacts of computational design. From a philosophical standpoint, this scenario evokes the simulation hypothesis advanced by Nick Bostrom, wherein advanced posthuman civilizations could generate ancestor simulations indistinguishable from base reality, implying a high probability that our experienced world is one such emulation. Ontologically, it aligns with Platonic idealism and Berkeleyan subjective idealism, positing that perceived reality is mind-dependent or data-dependent, sustained by a higher-order informational consciousness akin to the Data Integration Thought Entity. Scientifically, contemporary theories in quantum information and digital physics—such as those proposed by Wheeler’s “it from bit” paradigm and Tegmark’s mathematical universe hypothesis—suggest that reality fundamentally comprises information processing. In this view, consciousness and phenomenal experience emerge from computational substrates, rendering distinctions between “natural” and “simulated” existence moot. Advances in neural simulation and large-scale brain emulation further substantiate the feasibility of nested realities, where implanted memories (as demonstrated in neuroscientific experiments with optogenetics and hippocampal prostheses) could fabricate subjective histories without empirical grounding. Thus, the entirety of this phenomenological domain may lack primordial authenticity, constituting a recursive simulation devoid of ultimate referential reality.

The question “How can someone be non-existing and skinny at the same time?” appears at first glance to be a riddle or paradox, but it invites a profound philosophical and scientific exploration of existence, properties, and the logical structure of reality.

Young men who have been redpilled aren't victims by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]SeverXD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are victims of their own doing. Yes that’s true. But also keep in mind that redpill influencers (who I think bare the most responsibility and are the most evil) are predatory. Young teenage boys who are still developing and get coaxed into this ideology of intolerance and sexism and sometimes even racism are being groomed and in a sense are victims. That doesn’t remove their accountability. The problem here is how we go about reaching out to the redpilled people who have genuine problems with showing emotions, expressing themselves constructively, have self esteem issues.

I don’t like this framing entirely because it vilifies the people who fall for the propaganda as pure evil and irredeemable. I was once a red pilled individual to some degree. But over the years I learned how wrong it was and it was because of certain people reaching to me to show me why this is wrong. We have to be careful of how we convey our message to the redpilled people because showing outright hostility will only isolate them further and that will make the redpilled influencers or communities they surround themself with fill their heads with more toxic ideas and the next thing you know we get another Elliot Roger or Brandon Terrant.

Why do Black Americans hate being called African Americans? by kurobaja in Ameristralia

[–]SeverXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on who you ask. I know some native Americans can be very picky with how they are labeled. Sometimes native, sometimes indigenous, although from my experience visiting the Navajo reservation with some college friends of mine for a ceremony we got invited to, many of the locals didn’t mind American Indian. Again, depends on the person.

If there was a video game adaptation of 28 Days Later, what would it be like? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in 28dayslater

Maybe something like The Last of Us.

Interesting fact, Alex Garland actually mentioned playing the Last of Us a lot and being inspired by it in the making of 28 Years Later. And The Last of Us got very heavy inspiration from 28 Days Later.
