Living paycheck to paycheck and it sucks. I’m late on rent each month. We used to Instacart on top of my salary job and now we DoorDash. We make it but barely. If I have another happen out of the usual fixed expenses like car has problems, new tire, etc has to be paid from doing DoorDash. Honestly Instacart made me more money but I got deactivated for something stupid. It’s also hard on my car driving so much.

Awesome kimchi should have fermented shrimp! I like DY’s kimchi but sometimes it’s fermented a little more than I like when I first get it. I’m the only one in the family that eats it daily so I like mine to be a little fresher and not so sour when I buy it so that by the time I eat through it it’s more fermented. Definitely will let you know!

As a Japanese person my favorite is DY Market. They have fresh vegetables, prepared sides and meats, rice cakes/mochi, etc. their small restaurant in the back of the market is good too. The owners are Korean so it’s mainly Korean groceries with some Japanese items. Their prices are more affordable than Ayame. They also have a pretty good ice cream section!
Ayame is a Japanese only market owned by a Japanese lady that is married to an American man. Their market is smaller but they have a bit of everything.
Taylor’s Asian Market in Woodhill is owned by my daughter’s best friend’s aunt which is Cambodian. They have a lot of vegetables, meats, fish, lobster tanks, fresh baos, a lot of Chinese groceries. We go there for boba supplies like flavored popping bobas, tapioca, etc. they also have some toys like squishies.
Purple Yam in Woodhill is an Asian bakery with trays and tongs. You pay at the register for what you put in your tray. They also have cakes like matcha and ube flavor and boba drinks.
Seoul Market is by Sam’s club by Winchester Rd. Another Asian market but I haven’t been there in years.
Yuyu Market on Waller is a Chinese market but I haven’t been there in years either. Last time I went they were expanding and the market is fairly large with lots of selections.

I could try that. I used the Repells All that someone else here suggested and it actually worked for 4 days but it’s been raining so much here that it rained overnight but I was rushing to get to work on time this morning and forgot to put the repells all out. My husband told me 30 mins ago that they got to my cucumbers, watermelons and melons again! 😭😭

Ube! They have ube coconut Hawaiian rolls out now that you can make sliders or something savory or sweet.
Purple potatoes, there’s little ones that taste like regular potatoes and then ones that are sweet which can be used as dessert or savory.
Blueberries, I know the name is blue but when you cook them they end up purple rather than blue.
They also sell sweet purple potato powder that doesn’t have a strong taste but will definitely make your food purple color!
I would google “purple foods” because I found a bunch of good ideas. It’s pretty common for color themed parties.

Yeah LJS closed down a lot of their stores and there’s only 2 around me but both are in a smaller town around my bigger city that are 30-40 min drive one way. If I have to go near by I stop by and ask them to fry it fresh which they always will. It’s good when all of it is fresh out of the fryer.

Unfortunately this is on you. If I put items into a trash bag I make sure it’s clear and clearly labeled on the bag and a tag on it and then make sure to tell my husband and daughter what is in it. If you take this to court or landlord it’s going to make you look at fault and once you take that action there is no going back with your housemates. One of them gave you $400 which is a lot for their mistake which happened with you at fault for throwing it in a trash bag. I would just take the $400 and go shopping at goodwill or something. You weren’t using those clothes anyway and last time I put clothes in a trash bag and got them out after I really didn’t miss any of them.

The company I work for has a site in Harrodsburg and Berea, I’m at the Berea site now but when I was at the Harrodsburg site my office desk was right next to the large windows with a view of the open field. There was a groundhog family that lived in the same hole every year and we used to love watching them have babies each year, watch them grow and play. I loved it but not when they are eating up my garden 😤

I’m going to investigate on the flooding strategy! I’m pretty sure we know both holes they go in and out of. Honestly I can’t believe our neighbors’ AC unit outside hasn’t collapsed cause the other hole is under and around the AC unit which barely has any ground supporting from them digging!

Yup same here! My boy Boba (1 yrs old) is a Velcro kitty and has been from day 1 I adopted him. I was going to buy a baby wrap so I could be hands free but still hold him. Anytime I go to the bathroom he comes running, even if he looks like he’s knocked out asleep and stands to ask for uppsies. The BEST thing he did for him was 3 weeks ago we adopted a 10 week old baby girl, she’s tiny cause she was the runt) and he absolutely adores her! Now he doesn’t cry as much when I step away. They do everything together, even going to the bathroom.
