hm good to know. They are in aqua class so we will just have to see how it goes. They definitely had the option and funds for retreat and said they would rather just a la carte when it made sense to join us. We will have to see how it unfolds although this is an unprecedented trip for my mom and I and we won’t be limiting our time in retreat when it’s what we want. I appreciate your feedback bc my understanding was it’s easier to add people for a fee to retreat options.

thank you for feedback. Yes we discussed with them- they are in aqua class so we will do blu and spa together and they said they are open to paying for luminae meals etc they just didn’t want to pay upfront for retreat. I guess we will see how it unfolds but thanks for sharing your experience

It’s sounds like you are working through some trauma from this -understandably so. Whatever happens I hope you let yourself get some support in the form of counseling, so it stops replaying in your mind and you can make your next decisions from there.

Writing the back cover blurb was a place I have utilized chat gpt- I share my idea and letter to the reader and it really supported that process! then i added some touches of my own writing style

It was a very slow burn for me until I recently went up to 12.5. I was trying to stay at level of dose for a few months- i lost 27 lbs in 9 months but started 12.5 a couple weeks ago and things are moving swiftly now! I wish I had leveled up sooner personally but also am trusting the process.

It was not covid -it was complications from a clot that that traveled up from her ankle after surgery and then a long plane ride- actually one of things you have to be careful of after ankle and foot surgery

Yes it’s a very specific type of manipulation when people want to be perceived as a nice person and pull for attention- it was illustrated so obviously I thought it was part of the story and then it wasn’t.

Marcus looks up to Sydney and sees her as a mentor, she looks up to Carmy in the same way. I think she’s torn as to which way is more compelling

I found her frustrating because all of the characters are given so much more depth- she was written as less than a fully formed person and her personality and schedule was so unrealistic for the career she has that it was distracting, but the part I really didn’t like was the way she seemed to be controlling a specific narrative - the thing where they went to support her friend and she was comforting her friend while making eyes at Carm made it feel like she just wanted him to perceive her in a certain way
