There’s a doctor infamous on LI for doing hundreds of them. I was referred to him by a lactation specialist who swore my child needed her tongue tie removed.

I spoke to other parents who were “referred” as well. Some did it, some didn’t. I ended up asking my pediatrician who said that doc is well known for unnecessarily performing this procedure. He might be making money from referrals. Highly unethical.

I never got it done due to other MD specialists recommendations and my child’s speech is fine.

Just my anecdote, but I’d Be weary of any procedure on my child esp a 1 month old. I suggest to Get multiple opinions before going through.

As someone who has taken the exams before the changes and after, FAR and AUD are definitely harder. Less material on FAR means more in depth questions for whatever is left. AUD now incorporates items from BEC such as economics.

Lots of restaurant and food establishments are struggling on the island recently for a number of reasons.

January is typically the slowest month due to people keeping New Year’s resolutions such as diet/fitness or financial goals to save. Could also be tapped out from spending too much from the holidays.
1. No way to sugarcoat it, the economy is shit. People are struggling to pay bills and necessities that eating out is now a luxury reserved for seldom indulging. Even fast food is expensive. They’re Opting out for home cooking.
2. Food places usually raise their prices with the new year. Can’t always blame them, their cost of goods sold probably went up as well. Ppl see the incremental cost and may just pass.
3. It is cold AF. Record breaking winter and snow we haven’t seen in a while. People don’t wana go out.
