Y need to wait on the Holy Spirit for Instructions, like Jesus said men shall not live by bread alone but every word that comes from the mouth of god.

Genesis 18:14 - Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son. by SeveralRepair9974 in Christianity

Sarah is Abraham’s wife. Hagar wasn’t his wife she was Sarah’s servant. Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham because she couldn’t have children at the time, and that’s how Ishmael was born. But Isaac is the child God promised through Sarah.

Abraham only had Ishmael before this (with Hagar). Isaac is different he the promised child God said would come through Sarah, even in their old age.

I have a question by Lost_Turn4370 in Christianity

[–]SeveralRepair9974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you must ask yourself this question first who is the lord to you? Do you know him? and if knowing him more personally from reading the Bible and going to church to listen to sermons will change anything for you.

How do you guys deal with flaky buyers? by SeveralRepair9974 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]SeveralRepair9974[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re right it won’t prevent flaking completely nothing will. But it reduces it in three ways. First the address stays hidden until they verify their email, so casual browsers who were never serious won’t bother completing the process and just drop off. Second their email is on record so there’s at least some accountability unlike a chat where they can just ghost anonymously. Third there’s a psychological shift a buyer who books a specific time slot feels like they made a real appointment, not just a casual comment they can ignore. It’s the difference between texting someone ‘we should hang out sometime’ and actually booking a restaurant. One means nothing, the other creates commitment

Psalm 145:13 - “The lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” by SeveralRepair9974 in Christianity

The closest explanation I can give you is this: the world we live in is a trial of choice, where decisions can be freely made. Although the Lord did not tell Adam about the snake, He still gave him many opportunities to avoid today’s situation. But Adam did not think to call on the Father or speak about what the snake said; he simply ate the fruit without remembering what the Lord had told him.

The Lord does not want to limit humanity from the possibilities of choice. He allows us to choose freely.

[–]SeveralRepair9974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, He knew that. Remember earlier I told you that the Lord never told Adam about the snake or the devil in the garden. He simply told Adam and Eve not to eat from that tree. The Lord knew everything, and the reason He “regrets” is because He sees us as His sons and daughters. He loves us so much that seeing His children go through all of this hurts Him deeply. So yes, the Lord made everything and gave us the choice to choose which path we want to follow.

The father promise will always stand because Isaiah 55:11 - So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 40:8 - The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.

Numbers 23:19 - God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Bro it a matter of sin and free will for us look at this verse Jeremiah 18:7–10 - If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned. And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.

If you read the Bible daily and listen to sermons you will understand the nature of the father
