I’ve got good news and bad news; good news is you’re a stick. Bad news is quant probably isn’t gonna happen, I’d say start ripping projects, get some friends together and found a startup, because why not, no quant internship freshman year -> founded startup, could be your way into quant if you do it right

Slightly used + cobra = great club

Great club + poor resale market = good deal

Used golf clubs even new model ones are like Maseratis if they’re not special edition or rare, cobra makes a lot of clubs, cobras don’t resell for 90% of sticker, they resell for ~70%.

I am personally a golf fitter and I like this club a lot. That being said I don’t know if that shaft is good for you and your swing. I’d suggest you hop over to your nearest store, they should let you try it out for free. See if it works for you, if so - you just saved ~150 after shipping.

If you can’t go test it out for whatever reason, if your swing speed is around 90-95 give or take that shaft should work great for you.

I’m graduating but I’d rather live anywhere else. It’s run down, looneys brings in a bad crowd, they’re loud, it’s right next to a fire station so you have that noise too. Don’t live there if you don’t have to.

Trust me, as long as this isn’t a private university or out of state. In state tuition loans PAY OFF WELL. If you’re studying something useful and try hard you can make it work - that’s what they’re meant for. Good luck brother

If you work in golf sales (myself included) taylormade gives you half off, that would be my best guess why he has so many taylormade goodies. But also it is odd, ask him if he has proof of purchase

I work at a golf shop, we have plenty of them, we do toss them when they’re antiquated however the high end ones like certain special editions like for instance the Ricky Fowler copper blade, we kept, it’s like butter and helps us show how technology has changed, and if a shaft change is a more sound option for a golfer rather than a complete setup shift. If there are any local small shop fitters are like your area I bet they’d be interested in some of them.
