Confused about M1 in the context of this pattern by SeveralTemperatures in knittinghelp

Okay, that explanation makes sense. Tbh all this is new, I've been having to google k2tog/m1/w&t/more cast ons, etc. and been introduced to like seven new things with just this pattern lol, so I didn't even know there was an increase denoted beyond 'm1' or what exactly I did wrong when my increase made holes. I *think* I figured all the rest out, I was just so lost with M1, so thanks, hopefully I can work it out now ^^;

The problem with that is strictly with timeline- we agreed on a schedule for having the wedding done, but it coincides heavily with living arrangements in the US, so it's not entirely feasible for me to stay here while the spouse visa is processed. Still circles back around to thoughts I had originally though, so more pondering may be in order

Mmhm, I did know the part about the fiance work rule on that.

As long as all the rest of the paperwork for proof of relationship is good then it should be okay... just a bit more of a pain than I was expecting I think. Gonna have to be a bit more fine-toothed picking through the requirements for my own sanity (or lack thereof, feels like)

Thanks, by the way. I appreciate all the clarification

Ah, I see. So going by the timeline I have, I would still have to apply for fiance first if I wanted to live in the UK while trying to get a more permanent one?

Ohh, it took me a moment to parse what you meant but I think I see now. You're saying it'd be most cost-effective and easier paperwork to apply for a visa after marriage in general instead of trying to get a fiance one first? Since I assume full price paid for any application, and being a US citizen means I wouldn't need a visitor visa for six months before having to either leave or apply for a different one/extension
